I sent an email to verify the correct trailer plug for my Sub and they responded in a timely manner. Made the purchase and it fit perfectly!

by: Mariela02/08/2024

Just what we were looking for! The 2007 Chevy truck needed a replacement connector and this did the job!

by: Herb H.11/08/2023

I twisted this connector into the stock location and the locking tab that keeps it from twisting back out broke off. I locked it into place with a screw so it won’t twist out. Disappointed that it broke so easily .

2013 GMC Sierra

Broke my trailer electrical socket on my GMC pickup, I’m 1,500 miles from home waiting for the snow to start melting to go home. The local GM dealer wanted over $70.00 for replacement part. Found this one at etrailer.com for $16.95. I had it sent priority mail as mail has been slow here in AZ , received in six day and took less than five minutes to install. Hate to leave AZ , but home in SD is calling. We will be be back next winter. Thanks to etrailer for saveing me money I’ll need for gas home.

Fits perfectly and works as intended

by: Nick05/20/2011

Very easy...Installed in about 10 seconds. Product did not completely cover the holes through the bumper that existed from the factory harness insert. So you can see light a little bit of light around the product.

by: Rick04/17/2020

This connector arrived fast and was very easy to install. Took about two minutes to put in. It seems to be of very good quality.

2008 Chevrolet Silverado

Perfect fit for my 2008 Silverado. Identical to the adapter used in my wife's 2007 Suburban, except hers says "GM" and mine says "Pollack." This is all assuming it works, I haven't hooked a trailer up to it yet.

by: Leon07/16/2013

Looks to be good quality. Easy to install.

Remove
the old connector by depressing the keeper, turning it counter clock wise about a quarter turn, slide it out, depress the keeper on the wiring harness connector and unpluging the unit. Install the new connector by pluging in the wiring harness connector, sliding the unit through the bumper hole and turning it about a quarter turn clock wise to lock it in place. It took less time than writing this.

After a year, I still believe this product is well made of high quallity products. It is operating well as I expected it would. Thank you for building and selling this product.

Fast shipping, superior product, I would definitely buy again!

2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Old electric plug in on my 2007 Chevy 2500 was worn out. Cord from RV would not stay plugged in. Went on line on E-Trailer, ordered a new part for GM vehicles, when it arrived, it took me about five minutes or lees to remove the plug all I needed was a small regular blade screwdriver. New part woks fine. This is the 2nd or 3rd time I have ordered from E-Trailer. I have always been satisfied. Thank you Ken Hill

Fit no issues tight and quality. Spot on. 2011 gmc 2500hd fit right in the factory light plug in. Those that don’t have the 7 way connector already in it this adapts.

Replaces plug with broken cover tab. Old plug matches photo. Correct model year replacement not exact duplicate but fits cutout and wire harness. Average price. Very fair shipping fee.

Worked out great just want I needed.
When
I called was very helpful and understood what I was looking for

by: Joel 08/27/2018

After 18 years, my original trailer plug connector was showing signs of corrosion. When I bought a travel trailer with electric brakes, I knew I could no longer trust my old connector. I purchased this replacement because it is identical to the OEM connector which I knew was excellent quality, not a cheap knock-off. It was simple to install and the wire connector plugged right in. I've been using it extensively for a year now and it's been working flawlessly. I'm glad I purchased this quality connector that I can trust.

works well, no problems, fast delivery

by: Henry S.05/05/2014

After spending a little time online figuring out how this connector attaches to the factory hitch (push the tab, twist about 1/4 turn, pull out far enough to reach wiring harness connector), I ordered one from etrailer. When I got it, it took me all of 5 minutes to remove the broken connector and install the new one. Upon examining the OEM connector, which says "GM" on the lid's outside, it says "Pollak" on the inside, so the OEM part was built by this aftermarket company. No wonder it fit so well! BTW, the original broke because of cockpit error, not because of manufacturing defect.

This little marvel was a piece o' cake to install. Less than 10 minutes from taking it out of the box to installing in the bumper of my Chevy and wiping my hands on my pants. If my nosy and talkative neighbor wouldn't have been staring over my shoulder, it would have been installed in under 5 minutes.

2012 Chevrolet Silverado

Looks like OEM and took all of a minute or two to install. The video was very helpful to show how to remove plate on back of rear bumper. The wiring harness on my 2012 Silverado wasn place so it was only a matter of removing plate and plugging in. A seven point adapter then plugs into this and the trailer plug just pushes onto the adapter. I tried both a seven point adapter that I kept from my 2005 Silverado and also a seven point adapter that my brother has on a 2011 Honda Pilot and they are all universal and worked just fine.. Very user friendly. The tow hitch took about 45 minutes to also install with no help (though a second person could make it a 30 minute ordeal tops). Very pleased and the shipping was ahead of original date with just normal ground freight..

by: WALLY07/24/2015

REPLACED OEM PART PERFECTLY. TWISTED OUT THE OLD ONE AND REPLACED IT WITH THE NEW ONE, PLUGGED IN THE HARNESS AND WAS GOOD TO GO.

Exact fit and works great. I couldn't give it a 5 because it rotates slightly in the mount which doesn't seem to affect it's function, but the old factory part that it replaced didn't do that.

used this plug to replace the factory "filler". this item is well built, excellent spring, just what i needed to keep the 7 way option (used with a four way trailer harness). breeze to install and fits snugger than the factory one (2008 silverado). would recommend and first time ordering with etrailer...will do business again, great products to fit any situation, outstanding service and prices. videos are great too. look no further than this company. shipping was fast. A++++ all the way around. good job guys.

2004 Nissan Titan

The manufacturer (Pollak) directed me to etrailer where I easily located the correct trailer connector. Apparently my 2004 Nissan
Titan was retrofitted at the dealer with this style connector. I bought the vehicle new. The dealer's parts department had no information for this part or the hitch.
Your website was easy to navigate and the pictures simplified the process. Replacing the broken original was a five minute job. The new connector fit perfectly. I wish all repairs were as easy.

Product was exactly what I was looking for and thanks to the hitch system previously purchased, it was fabricated for a perfect fit. Also, the first one that came in was busted up a little, etrailer immediately sent a new one out with no hassle. Great company.

Great fit works good has 7way rv plug and the regular flat 4 plug no need for adapters to lose or have stolen.

Been using this plug for a year now still working great

by: Randall B.05/01/2017

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver was easy to install and has worked just fine in pulling my several trailers. For the price, an excellent deal. The 7-Way and 4-Way Trailer Wiring Harness Connector by Hopkins was a disappointment because the cap that doubles as a dust cover and latch to the adapter has come off and missing after a few months. This cap is not replaceable, the whole connector would have to be replaced.

Exact fit for my 06 GMC Sierra it took longer to get my spare tire down than to install the tow package. My spare was stuck.

2004 Chevrolet Silverado

Perfect! I used this on a single cab Chevy Silverado 1500. Plugged into factory trailer lights near spare tire, mounted it up, plugged in trailer and everything worked just like it should. My truck does not have a spare tire so I removed the spare tire keyhole mount and cut some of the bumper to fit the adapter. My truck did not require a ECM/PCM flash of any kind, although I hear some vehicles may have to.

by: RL Adams06/20/2017

I installed this today. Took around 90 minutes but part of that was learning how to get the spare out of the way. I drilled two holes in the bottom of the bumper because of where I wanted the connector to be placed. All necessary hardware came with the unit. This was very easy to do after watching etrailer's How To video. Good job guys, great product.

by: Harold J.04/10/2014

Nice product ,Easy to install and then worked as supposed to . I installed in bumper as opposed to the add on bracket that came with it ,made for a easier way to plug in trailer cord.

I bought this 7 way trailer connector to replace a broken one on my 2006 Chevy 2500HD. It was an easy install and only took a few minutes to complete. I tested it with my trailer connected and all works fine.
The shipping was super fast.
Thanks , etrailer.

Cathy T. was very good help. She set me up with the correct parts for our 2001 Chevy so we can have a 7 prong plug in at the bumper and in the box.
We got rid of the cobbled up mess that started giving us trouble and now everything works great. The plug and play took me about 1 1/2 hours to complete. We will do business again if needed. Thanks again Cathy T. and etrailer!

2007 Chevrolet Silverado

My 2007 Classic Silverado Crew Cab 4x4 did not have a factory hitch receiver, so I selected the 13322 Curt Hitch Receiver because it closely resembles the OEM hitch receiver and attaches to the bottom of the bumper. Installation was easy, as shown in the videos and described by other reviewers. All holes aligned perfectly. I did not remove the spare tire as it is not necessary. I used two jack stands to raise/support the receiver frame in place while I started the first bolts. I had the 22mm and 19mm sockets needed to tighten and torque the bolts/nuts. It looks great and I now am able to tow.

For the wiring I installed the 30955 Hopkins 7-Way and 4-Way Trailer Connectors to the bumper adjacent to the license plate. This required drilling a 2-1/8" hole in the bumper, which was time consuming, but it now resembles a factory installation. I was able to remove the license plate and connect to the factory plug.

I ordered these parts from etrailer for a number of reasons: 1) The website is intuitive and contains a tremendous amount of information for the person who is trying to research product information; 2) the selection and inventory is amazing; 3) the prices are very competitive – free shipping for orders over $99; and 4) the dedicated customer service is outstanding – the email communication is prompt. I ordered on a weekend and it was delivered by the following Friday.
A very positive first experience.

Bought this 7 way connector to replace my current 5 pin. It fit into the factory wiring and came with a bracket and screws. Fast shipping and 10 minutes to install. Thanks Etrailer

by: Walker 05/16/2023

Quick shipping. And best part they sent me the correct hitch and plug in. No complaints here!

by: Jeffrey03/22/2023

The male prongs on the plug on the wire end were too short and did not engage.
The lights would not work. I bought another brand plug that the prongs were longer on and it worked fine.

2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Spent a little time on phone with Preston discussing a wiring solution to accompany the trailer hitch desired. He recommended a product and confirmed that it should be a plug and play situation. Long story short, the hitch was bolted up and the wiring functional in 1 hr's time. I had to drill (2) holes to mount the wiring receptacle, but that was expected. Great service, fast delivery, and excellent prices. I'm very happy. Vehicle: 2005 Chev 1500, 4-dr, 6-1/2 ft bed. Note: Factory wiring harness trailer plug-in was located above the spare tire, towards the rear of the vehicle.
