What is the Difference Between Valley 7-Way V30607 and Hopkins 7-Way 30955
Question:
I have a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado Pickup. It was not equipped with a Tow Package. It does, however, have a harness with a 7-Pin female end which is attached to the Bumper. I saw your adapters, code #s 30955 and V30607. They both look like what I need, but I dont know the difference between the two besides the price. Can you help? Thanks.

The Hopkins part # 30955 and the Tekonsha # 74682 work the exact same way and offer the same features. The mounting brackets are a bit different, and the wire on the 74682 is covered by wire loom for a neater appearance, but the two connectors operate the same way and have the same vehicle side connector.
Now, your truck may have a knock out on the rear bumper with a pre-cut 7-Way mounting location that you might like better. No need to hang an existing bracket, the down side is you would need an adapter if you need a 4-Way connector. I have added a link to an article showing this knock-out and to part # PK11916 that would fit this knock-out.
