  • Is The 12 Volt Power Wire Required To Be Ran To The Battery On My 2021 Hyundai Palisade?
  • Stealth Hitches has updated the Towing Kit # 391CONVPT5L portion of the Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver w/ Towing Kit # 391HYUNPALIS19T to no longer require a separate power wire and inline fuse be ran to the battery. The power wire has been moved to the vehicle connection plug and will now use the factory wiring and fuse in your 2021 Hyundai Palisade to power the converter and 7-way charge line for the trailer. If you have one of the older kits that is before they made the change, there...

  • Recommended Wiring Harness For A 2023 Hyundai Palisade
  • We do have a wiring harness for your 2023 Hyundai Palisade. I recommend the Curt T-Connector # C43FV. This will plug in behind the driver and passenger side tail lights, and will not require any cutting of the vehicles harness. You will have to run a wire to the battery to power the module for the 4 pole flat connector. We also have the # C59236 which is a 4 pole wiring harness, but this will require cutting and splicing of the vehicles wiring.

  • Trailer Hitch Options For a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe
  • I can definitely point you in the right direction. The # 75776 is for a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe, but it fits the SE and Limited models only. If your Santa Fe is the Sport model you will want the # 75772 instead. We have installed both of these hitches on a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe at our shop here in Wentzville Missouri. I have linked our install videos below.

  • Can a FWD 2016 Hyundai Tucson be Towed with a Tow Dolly
  • If you look at the owner's manual for your 2016 Hyundai Tucson you will see on page 6-23 it says that it is acceptable to tow the front wheel drive version of with the rear wheels on the ground. You will want to confirm this in your copy of the owner's manual. Since you can tow your Tucson using a tow dolly we do have some options available to you. Part # RM-2050-1 is a basic version that is rated for 4,250 lbs and has the option to use electric brakes. The former dolly has loose wires...

  • Roof Mounted Canoe Carrier Recommendation for a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe with Factory Roof Rack
  • We do offer some roof mounted canoe carrier options for your 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe, but they will not increase the carrying capacity of the factory rack on your vehicle. If you have the raised side rails then you can use # RRVA118B-2 and # RRSX100. The same rule would apply if you have the flush mounted factory rails and installed an aftermarket rack like the Rhino-Rack kit including the cross bars # RRVA137B-2, Feet # RRRLKVA, and Custom Fit Kit # DK041. These bars have a capacity of...

  • Can I Use A Demco Bolt-On Coupler With A Tubular Trailer Tongue
  • That is an interesting question. We do caution against bolting the Demco Coupler # DM14793-81 to a round tube. While you might be able to drill holes and tighten the bolts properly, the concern would be that the body of the coupler is not making full contact with the frame. As you said, they are intended for rectangular or right angle stock steel. With a part of the trailer as important as the coupler, it is an area where we would want to take any risks. Your best bet would be to take...

  • Does Coupler Latch Need Adjustment to Use Euro-Style Ball Mount Like # C45592
  • By 'clasp', I assume you're speaking about the latching mechanism on the trailer coupler. If your current coupler is compatible with a 2 inch trailer ball, it will operate just fine with the Curt Euro Style Ball, part # C45592. As long as the ball diameter is compatible with the coupler, you shouldn't need to adjust anything.

  • Difference in Trailer Hitch Receiver Openings for the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe
  • When it comes to a trailer hitch receiver for a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe, you will have different options, like Class II or Class III, depending on the style of your vehicle. I have attached an article which covers the Class and size differences. For the Sport model, we have a Class III receiver, the Curt, # C13152, which has a 2" hitch opening. For the GLS and Limited, a Class III like the Curt # C13153 is the only option. I personally recommend going with the Class III 2" hitch. Not...

  • What Bolts Should I Use To Install A Draw Tite Class 3 Trailer Hitch
  • While grade 8 bolts like you have are recommended to install a class 3 trailer hitch, I do not recommend using the bolts in your picture. For a trailer hitch like the Curt #14001 you were looking at, it uses 1/2" x 13 grade 8 bolts. Hitch manufacturers including Draw-tite and Curt recommend only using manufacturer approved hardware. We can provide a complete hardware kit of all manufacturer approved hardware in part # RHK. Just enter to correct part number from your hitch before adding...

  • Should I Abide By the Vehicle's Maximum Tongue Weight or the Maximum Tongue Weight of the Hitch?
  • When considering the maximum tongue weight capacity rating of the vehicle or the hitch, you should always go with whatever is the lowest of the two. For example, if you are considering the Draw-Tite Hitch - 2" # 75836 on your 2019 Hyundai Tucson Ultimate, the 100-pound capacity is the lowest factor compared to the 525 maximum tongue weight capacity of the # 75836. Putting more weight than the 100-pound maximum can greatly damage your vehicle and is extremely dangerous.

  • Why Is There A Direct Line To The Battery If The Wire Harness Can Draw Power From The Tail Lights
  • The extra wire in the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C99KR that you run to the battery powers the converter box so that it won't overload the tail light circuit and blow the fuse or cause the tail lights to dim.

  • Does Thule Snug Tite Lock Make a Lot of Noise when Driving
  • The lock part of the Snug Tite lock # THSTL2 can move around, this is true, but the likelihood of being able to hear it while in a moving vehicle is slim to none. It just doesn't have enough mass to make enough noise to be noticeable especially in a moving vehicle and even with the windows down. The friction between the vehicle tires and the road creates much more noise than the lock ever could. So no worries!

  • Do I Need A Lift To Be Able To Install the etrailer Receiver on my 2022 Hyundai Palisade?
  • A lift is not required to be able to install the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e95ZR on your 2022 Hyundai Palisade. You may find it easier to raise the rear of your Palisade up off the ground so that you can more easily access the mounts for the exhaust and be able to lower the exhaust to get the receiver in place. I have linked our installation video below so you can see where the mounts are to determine if you need to raise it off the ground. I recommend installing the Curt T-Connector...

  • Can 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz Use Weight Distribution Hitch
  • You should not use a weight distribution hitch with your 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz because the hitch that fits it - the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C23WR - is not rated for use with weight distribution. What you can use instead - and it is not required but I do recommend it for stability - is friction sway control, which will work so long as your trailer does NOT have hydraulic surge brakes: - Reese Friction Sway Control Kit # 83660 You will also need the Reese Sway-Control Bracket for...
