  • Will 2015 Mini Cooper Center Exhaust Damage Trailer While Towing
  • Your trailer will be completely safe from your 2015 Mini Cooper exhaust with the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH67FR installed. To complete your trailer towing setup you need the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter # C59236, the Eclipse Magnetic Mounting Bracket # 306-X6019, and a ball mount to match the height of your trailer. Be sure to mount the wiring bracket out to the side of the hitch because the exhaust will definitely melt the wiring if you have it close to the exhaust....

  • Do the Turn/Brake Signals on the Wiring Kit # BX88267 Need to be Separated for a 2004 Mini Cooper
  • I am a little bit confused as to what you are wanting to do. The Blue Ox Tail Light Wiring Kit # BX88267 that you mentioned uses its own bulb that works both as the brake and turning signals. It completely bypasses the wiring on your 2004 Mini Cooper and directly connects to the motorhome for signal source. If you check out the linked installation video you can see our team install this kit as well as the Flexo-Coil Kit # RM-164-7 for flat towed wiring.

  • Replacement for Pollak PA66-MD40 Connector
  • Are you certain it is a Pollak PA66-ND40 as opposed to a Pollak PA66-MD40? The only reason I ask is we do have a replacement for the MD40, which is the Pollak Replacement 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector Socket # PK11893-11933 which we know has been a replacement for Sprinter RVs. I have been unable to find any type of reference to a ND40 connector.

  • Tips on Installing the Top Hooks on a Thule OutWay Trunk Mount Bike Rack and 2010 Mini Cooper
  • When I first got my Raceway bike rack, I had the same problem. There are a couple of things that you can try to get the top hooks in place. First, what works for me is to put the hook above the opening it needs to go into and then pushing it into place. The coating protects the vehicle from any damage. Another thing you can do is pull out some slack from the retractable cable and try to get the hook in at the corner or edge and then slide it over into position. This works for me when I...

  • How Long Can I Expect To Spend Installing The Roadmaster Base Plate Kit On A 2014 Mini Cooper?
  • Roadmaster quotes their installers to take around 2-1/2 hours, however an experienced professional should expect installation of the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521882-5 to take around 3 hours. If you are a novice, you can expect this to take a bit longer as there is some trimming of the shock absorption pad, active air shutter louvers or housing, lower air dam, air deflector, cowling and/or rock guard is required. I have also included an installation video of # RM-521882-5...

  • Using a Stabilizer Strap with a 2017 Mini Clubman 2 Door Hatch
  • Curt does require use of a stabilization strap for their Class I Hitches. Normally, you'd use a Stabilizing Strap like part # 18050 but like many hatchback vehicles, you're running into a simple problem that is easy to fix. For this, you'll want to purchase part # Y02612 , a set of Yakima Glass Hatch adapters. This part will give you an alternate location to hook the stabilizing strap to that will evenly apply pressure to the padded security bar, removing the need to mount the support...

  • What Happens to Center Reverse Light When Hitch is Installed on a 2004 Mini Cooper
  • The rear center light of your 2004 Mini Cooper will need to be removed to install the Curt hitch part # C11126. The hole where the light was is where the hitch opening will come out. Check out the install instructions link I attached for more info on how the hitch installs. For trailer wiring you would need the part # 119250KIT, for a ball mount # C45551 for a 1-7/8 inch ball or part # C45552 for a 2 inch ball.

  • Can the Custer LED Amber Quad Flash Kit # CPL65A-STR be Surface Mounted
  • The Custer LED Amber Quad Flash Kit, # CPL65A-STR, was not designed to be surface mounted. The sockets for the plug-in wiring harnesses protrude past the back of the light so they would not sit flat. The only surface mount flashing amber lights that we offer are magnetic lights like the Custer Adjustable Amber LED Emergency Light, # HF18A-MB. I have attached a link to all of our flashing warning lights for you to check out.

  • Where to Find Installation Hardware for Yakima Replacement 1-1/4 Inch Tongue for HoldUp Bike Racks
  • I spoke with my contact at Yakima regarding the Replacement 1-1/4 Inch Tongue for Yakima HoldUp Bike Racks # 8880581 referenced in your question. She stated that the only additional hardware that will be needed to install the tongue is the existing screws on your HoldUp Bike Rack. You will not need any additional hardware to properly install this replacement part. This can be used to replace the tongue on the 1-1/4 inch HoldUp Bike Carrier or to convert the HoldUp for 2 inch hitches for...

  • Determining the Axle Location on Homemade Travel Trailer
  • For your axle placement you will use the attached article to determine the distance between your trailer coupler and axle to get that 10% tongue weight desired. Because you have a torsion axle it will be much easier to test your theory to really pin point your desired tongue weight. I can't just give you a dimension because the coupler weight needs to be integrated in the equation. For instance the coupler # CT-3002-Z has a weight of 5 lbs that would be added to the pole tongue to...

  • Can You Manually Lockout an Electric Reverse Lockout Brake Coupler
  • I have a solution for you if you have drum brakes, but I spoke with my contact at Titan and he did not have a recommended way to manually lock out a trailer brake actuator that has an electric reverse lockout. The best thing you can do is get some free backing trailer brakes. These brakes allow your trailer to back up without activating the brakes, even if your trailer does not have a reverse lockout. Since I do not know what size brakes you have I attached a page that has all of the different...

  • Difficulty of Hitch Installation on 2010 Mini Cooper S
  • The light-duty Class I hitch we offer for the 2010 Mini Cooper S, Curt hitch # C11130, installs without drilling but will require heat shield modification (if it has a center exhaust) and will also require you to trim the rear valance. You will need to temporarily remove the bumper to provide access to the hitch mounting points. • Are Body Modifications Required to Install a Hitch on the 2009 Mini Clubman
  • Yes. When installing the Draw-Tite # 75151 there is going to be some trimming of the plastic fascia required, since this hitch is a concealed cross tube hitch that mounts behind the bumper on your 2009 Mini Clubman. This may sound a bit daunting, but these modifications are really quite easy and can be done with a hole saw and a standard hand drill. This is the only hitch we have available that is a confirmed fit on your 2009 Mini Clubman. I've added a photo to show the modification that...

  • How to Use Custer Wireless Tow Bar with RV that has 6-Way Round
  • The 4-way round connector is very rare and the 6-way round is somewhat common but more rare than 4-way flats and 7-ways so what that means is that we don't have an adapter for your configuration but I have a similar solution. We have a version of the Custer Wireless Tow Bar Light that uses a 7-way blade with the part # LIW-LDTL-7B which we do have adapters for like with the # 337TC1067P which plugs into your 6-way and converts to same connector as the tow bar.
