While using a hitch or trunk mounted bike rack, the heaviest bike will need to be on the first slot of the carrier closest to the rear bumper.
No, tongue weight is used for any object or accessory attached to a trailer hitch receiver and unfortunately, there is no way to increase the tongue weight capacity of a hitch for hitch mounted accessories.
There are also no fail safe or safety feature built into either the vehicle or hitch receiver when exceeding the recommended tongue weight... view full answer...
I went out to the warehouse and pulled the Vented Battery Box, # DW03188, and produced a short video showing the dimensions of the box for you, see link.

The overall outer dimensions of the battery box are 10-1/2 inches long, by 7-3/8 inches wide, by 9-1/4 inches high, with the lid on the box.

The Thule Hullavator Kayak Carriers # TH898 weigh 40-lbs each by themselves so the two empty carriers alone will consume half of the Pilot's rated 165-lb roof capacity. While there are some lightweight kayaks out there most weigh 40-lbs or more apiece.
Apart from the weight concern there is the matter of space; each Hullavator requires 28.5-inches of space on the crossbars so the Pilot would have to be fitted with at least 57 inch long bars. The Hullavator also requires 4-8 inches of crossbar... view full answer...
It's going to vary a bit depending on whether or not your rear suspension is worn or not, but in most cases a 2005 Honda Pilot with the etrailer Trailer Hitch # e98851 will sit 16-3/8" from the bottom of the hitch to the ground. Because this hitch has a concealed cross tube design it will provide good ground clearance compared to a cross tube that is visible. This hitch has a durable, matte black powder coating that will stand up to corrosion extremely well and provides you with a 2" receiver... view full answer...

You want to choose a weight distribution (WD) system so that your trailer's fully-loaded tongue weight (TW) plus the weight of anything in the vehicle that sits behind the rear axle, like a generator or loaded cooler, falls into the middle of its operating range. Say your loaded TW is 800-lbs and you have a 100-lb cooler in the back of the Pilot; in this case you'll want a system like the Reese Strait-Line # RP66084 that is rated for TW from 600- to 1200-lbs. You can refer to the linked... view full answer...
We've got one that is close enough I am more than confident it will fit. It is the Double Lip Grease Seal item # 34823 you were looking at. It has a 1.249" inside diameter and 1.983" outside diameter. The few thousandths of an inch this is off of your 12194TC TCM oil won't affect it functioning correctly. view full answer...
What you could do is use a spacer between the bottom of your trailer frame and the bottom bolt of the frame bracket of the Husky Centerline System part # HT32216 and you'd be good. 3 inches tall is a bit too small, but with a metal spacer you'd be fine. view full answer...
The Thule Hitching Post Pro Tilting 4 Bike Rack, # TH934XTR, has a height of around 35 inches measured from the bottom of the upright to the top of the upright shaft.
To figure out what the total height this rack will be when mounted to your 2008 Honda Pilot, measure from level ground to the bottom edge of your trailer hitch. Then add this measurement to the 35 inches. The sum will give you the height from the ground to the top of the rack and an idea if this height will be too tall for... view full answer...

There are a few fit concerns when it comes to roof cargo boxes. The main concerns are the roof rack crossbars and rear hatch clearance. The Yakima Skybox NX 16, # Y95AV, will fit on virtually any roof rack, so this shouldn't be a concern unless you have a significantly larger aftermarket roof rack. The SkyBox NV 16 will fit crossbars up to 3-1/2 inches wide by 1-11/16 inches tall.
Since roof cargo boxes are not tested on specific vehicles, the best way to answer the question about rear... view full answer...
I have attached a link to our installation video for this trailer hitch on a 2006 Honda Pilot you can check out.
As you can see in the video at about the 15 second mark the distance form the top of the # 13328 hitch receiver opening to the ground is 18 inches. This may vary based on the tires and wheels you have on your vehicle but this does give you a pretty good idea what that distance is.
