The trailer hitch receiver with the most ground clearance for your 2020 Chevy Colorado is the the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98909 along with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13176.

Their counterparts from Draw-Tite were close, with the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76004... view full answer...

Weight distribution systems like the Curt MV Weight Distribution System # C17050 are specified to work over a range of trailer tongue weights (TW). This system is rated for TW from 500 to 600-lbs.
Ideally the total TW of the trailer/vehicle system will fall right near the middle of a WD system's operating range. This Curt system would then be ideal for a total TW of 550-575-lbs. The total TW of a trailer/vehicle system is the sum of the actual fully-loaded trailer's TW plus the weight... view full answer...
The axle capacity of something like the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with 4" Drop E-Z Lube Spindles - 89" Long - 3,500 lbs # 8327812 refers to the amount of weight that it can carry; the weight of the tires, wheel, etc. are not part of the load and actually also carry weight, so they're not considered in the equation when it comes to the axle. This axle is 89" from hub face to hub face and 74" between the centers of the spring seats, which would be the important measurements to match up with... view full answer...
The main issue using a weight distribution hitch rated for a higher capacity than needed like the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA92-00-1200 is that it can cause a stiff ride. It does not increase towing capacity because that is always limited by your lowest rated component.
Generally you want to use tongue weight to drive the selection of a weight distribution system. Tongue weight is the weight that the fully loaded trailer exerts downward on the hitch ball of the tow vehicle.... view full answer...
The weight capacity of the Enclosed Trailer Ramp Spring # CB250D96SHD that you referenced is the capacity of the spring as a whole. It wouldn't be listed as total ramp weight since the length of the ramp and hinge used would end up making that number hard to pin down. This assembly is rated for up to 250 lbs capacity. view full answer...

That is definitely a feature which worries me about the B&W Continuum Weight Distribution System # BW78FR. While there is not a specific measurement I can give you as the bars move up and down depending on the load placed on the bars, B&W makes the following claim. "We performed 100,000 miles of real-world testing with our design and have not had any issues with ground clearance except in extreme road conditions. Usually, the rear of the trailer or the leveling jacks will hit the ground... view full answer...
Hitch Classification is basically just a way to organize hitches by similar capacity. It's not something that really means a whole lot beyond that. If you have an 8k trailer towing capacity that's most likely a Class 4 or Class 5. view full answer...

I reached out to my contact at Tow-Rax who confirmed that you can use the Tow-Rax Low-Profile Floor Track # TWSP72TA to install a winch mounting bracket on. The tracks will hold up just fine but you will want to make sure that your mounting hardware can withstand the 500 lbs of weight you plan on pulling up with the winch and that it isn't just mounted to the bed's sheet metal but something more solid.
You will need to get creative with the hardware that you use for the winch mount though... view full answer...
