I have another option for you, but the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13900 you were looking at is not confirmed to fit your 2019 Jeep Compass Trailhawk.
Instead I recommend the Curt # C13363 as it was made specifically for your vehicle, and is confirmed to fit. This hitch has a 600lb tongue weight rating and 4000lb trailer weight rating so it is a great option for carrying a bike rack, cargo carrier, or even a ball mount for towing a trailer.

Because the torque specs recommended by the manufacturer can change over time, we don't publish them on the website. However, if you go to the last page (out of 6 pages total) of the linked installation instructions, under the heading 'INSTALLATION STEPS', you can see that step 8 mentions the torque specs for the Curt # C13081 Class III hitch.
If you'll be using the hitch for towing purposes, you'll need a few additional items to complete your towing system:

For a three-bike carrier on your 2020 Jeep Compass, I recommend the Saris Bones EX 3 # SA803. The reason why it is better than the Yakima Fullback # Y02633 is because the Fullback has a per-bike weight limit of 30 pounds when transporting three bikes in comparison to the Saris Bones EX 3's 35 pound capacity.
Another great advantage of the Bones EX 3 over the Fullback is Bones EX 3's 6 trunk attachment points over the Fullback's 4 attachment points. More attachment points ultimately means... view full answer...
I checked with Thule and they confirmed the fit of the Thule Hullavator Pro part # TH898 on your 2018 Jeep Compass with thier Aeroblade roof rack that has the 47 inch long Aeroblade bars.
So the rack you'd need consists of part numbers # TH711220, # TH460R, and # THKIT3164 and you'd be set to use the Hullavator.
The slots in the bottom of the crossbars do allow some movement of the bar in the feet so if you wanted to push them more to one side for the Hullavator's overhang requirement... view full answer...
To convert the 4-way of your 2018 Jeep Renegade to a 7-way all you'd need is the install kit part # ETBC7 with a brake controller like the part # TK63VR and you'd be set. The ETBC7 comes with everything needed to convert to the 7-way as well as all wiring needed for a new brake controller. view full answer...
For your 2016 Jeep Compass with flush mounted rails the Rhino Rack roof rack part # RR58MR has been confirmed as a fit and would work well for carrying kayaks.
For a kayak carrier the Rhino Rack carrier part # S512 would fit these bars and work well too. I attached a review video for you to check view full answer...
The Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket # C18115 you referenced does have an E-coated finish which is designed to protect it from corrosion. Additionally, this basket has a one-year warranty on its finish and a lifetime warranty in terms of defects. So while it does have a rust-resistant finish, should the basket become rusted you do have protection from the manufacturer.
I have added a link to a video review of this rack for you to check out as well. view full answer...
If you've got a 5/16" diameter hole, those are usually on coupler latches, so it sounds like the Master Lock Adjustable Trailer Coupler Lock - Stainless Steel # 2847DAT is what you're looking for. This lock has a 1/4" pin and is designed for 5/16" latch holes, so it will fit your application. This lock is made from stainless steel so it's not going to rust when exposed to the elements, and the dust cap will keep moisture out of the locking mechanism.

Yes, the 4-ways with 4 wires and the ones with 5 wire perform the exact same functions so they both can easily be used together.
What you have a picture of is a wishbone 4-way that has the two running light circuits on it. One for either side of the trailer. That's why it has 5 wires. The 4-wire 4-ways use a single wire for this circuit but you then have to split it off to either side of the trailer. The two wires in your picture that have brown on them are that circuit.

It's possible that the 53" Thule SquareBar Evo Crossbars # TH712400 could fit on your 2012 Jeep Compass instead of the normal 47" Crossbars # TH712200 that Thule has verified to fit, but you'll need to measure the mounting locations on the flush rails on your Compass to determine if this will work or not. Since these bars have limited space for the feet to mount on either side it may not be possible.
When everything is put together I was finding about 36-1/2" between the mounting locations... view full answer...
If your vehicle is the Rallye model, you will need to cut a small notch to allow the hitch to position properly. The Rallye fascia comes down further. I have added a link to the instructions below. Essentially it would be about a 1-1/2 inch square notch. view full answer...
The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118539 is the correct harness for your 2014 Jeep Compass. The connector you removed is only for the brake/running light on your tail light. The 6 pin connector which attaches your tail light to the vehicle is on the bottom of the tail light. This is the connector you need to attach the 4-way harness to. I have linked in install video so you can see the connector in question as I can see it on the bottom of your tail light. view full answer...
I reached out to my contact at Draw-Tite and they have not heard of any issues regarding the hands free lift gate sensor not working on a 2021 Jeep Compass with the Draw-Tite # 76144 installed.
With that said typically a trailer hitch receiver will somewhat interfere with a hands free lift gate sensor, but not disable it. You would just need to place your foot on either side of the receiver and move it around a bit until you find the new sweet spot for the sensor.

A Euro-style drawbar is a one piece unit, with the trailer ball permanently welded to the drawbar, versus a standard drawbar that uses a trailer ball that can be removed. Some folks find the Euro-style to be more pleasing to the eye, but other than aesthetics, there is no major difference between the two.

The 4-way connector that comes with the Tow Ready Wiring Harness part # 118539 that you referenced is the standard vehicle side 4-way. It sounds like someone wired up your trailer with the wrong 4-way. So your best option would be to replace it with a # 18004. view full answer...
The computer on your 2011 Jeep Compass should not have to be reprogrammed or flashed to accept the installation of the Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, # 118539. I have included a link to the installation details for you to view.
The reason the computer would not have to be reprogrammed (something the dealer would have to do) is because, first, this wiring harness requires a direct connection to the vehicle battery to receive power. So it is drawing a very low amount of power directly... view full answer...
The Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRVA126B-2 are a great selection when looking for a low profile setup. Using the RCL Legs # RRRCL4 you will have a height of 1-1/2" above your mounting point plus the slight additional height of the formed metal bracket, # RRRCP64-BK. Please consider the contour of your roof will cause variance in clearance but overall this is not only a very good selection in product but also provides that low profile setup you are looking for. view full answer...
With the fuse blowing on your 2019 Jeep Compass while using The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56369, it is very possible that the converter box has shorted out and is allowing power from the battery to back feed to the vehicle taillight. It could also be a loose wire on the vehicle side causing it to be constantly on you could check each connection using The Hook Probe Circuit Tester Kit # PTW2993.
