At this time, the EcoHitch Invisi Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH39FR is not confirmed to fit the 2023 Tesla Model Y. It is possible it will fit, but we have not had a chance to install one and EcoHitch has not tested it yet. However, the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT58MR will fit your vehicle.
The Draw-Tite hitch features a bolt-on installation and will be completely hidden once installed, just like the EcoHitch. It has the same maximum gross trailer weight and a slightly... view full answer...
It sounds like you're looking for the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # TK92VR which is the same as part 118875 and a confirmed fit for a 2021 - 2023 Tesla Model Y. This harness is a plug-in play fit which does not require any splicing into the vehicle. Unfortunately, we don't have any review on the new model at this time.
If you don't already have a trailer hitch yet, I recommend the EcoHitch Class II Trailer Hitch Receiver part # EH39FR which has... view full answer...
I reached out to Torklift (they make the EcoHitch) and the EcoHitch Invisi Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # EH39FR is a confirmed fit for a 2020 Tesla Model Y.
The only hitch I have been able to confirm is the EcoHitch. There have been some changes to the Model Y from 2020 to 2021 so without being able to have a technician and manufacturer confirm we can not give a definitive answer yet. view full answer...
Yes, we have several shops on our dealer locator program that are near the areas you mentioned. Click on the EcoHitch Invisi Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH39FR and scroll down to "locate installers near me". You can then enter in your zip code and find a shop to help you out with the install!
I hope this helps; I also attached a demonstration video regarding this hitch being installed on a 2020 Tesla Model Y. view full answer...
For your 2021 Tesla Model Y I recommend the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180. The echo plugs in line with your existing 7-way at the back of your vehicle. It is controlled through your smartphone via Bluetooth. Since this does not require any wiring, it is ideal for an electric vehicle like your Tesla.
This is a proportional brake controller so the trailer brakes will activate in proportion to your vehicle's braking action. It also uses a triple-axis accelerometer... view full answer...
Yes. You can make connections to the battery on your 2020 Tesla Model Y in the same manner that you would on a standard, non-EV. You will need to start with a 4 way like the Tekonsha ZCI Kit # 119250KIT which offers you a solution that doesn't require any splicing into the wires on the Tesla; the ZCI (Zero Contact Interface) allows you to simply clamp on to the wiring to receive the signal. Once you've got that installed you can add a 7 way with the # ETBC7L kit, which will give you what... view full answer...
You'd potentially be modifying the Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202 to the point of voiding the warranty but you could use the LED kit part # 98174LED to add the lights and then use the bracket # BK70BB and you'd be set since it sounds like your vehicle has a 4-way installed on it already. view full answer...
That is the actual weight of the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2", part # DT58MR. This hitch receiver does not have the usual brackets that secure it to your vehicle, but it is not significantly lighter than any of our other more traditionally designed hitch receivers. view full answer...
Whoever you spoke with was either mistaken or not being fully honest. I just checked with Tekonsha, and your 2023 Tesla Model Y is 100 percent compatible with the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 119250KIT.
The other part you mentioned is on (very) extended backorder and is not just plug and go, there is more to it like running wires to the battery. The ZCI will work, and while it is a more involved install, you won't have to cut into the... view full answer...
The 7-Way to 4-Way/5-Way Trailer Adapter # C35FR has additional resistors built in which is only designed for trailers with LED tail lights. Since you have incandescent tail lights you will need to use the basic 7-way to 5-Way Adapter # A75TB. view full answer...
Yes, The SilentACT Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Lock # SHP2082 will help secure The 22-1/2x49 Curt Cargo Carrier # C18113.
This anti-rattle lock has a tool-free installation. The pin will reduce play and vibration in the hitch connection. The anti-rattle pin has a sturdy steel construction and has a zinc finish that is corrosion resistant.

Just like the Thule Helium Pro, the Thule Apex does not tilt down with bikes loaded. It fact, there is only one hanging bike rack that tilts down with bikes loaded, the Softride Hang2 2-Bike Rack # SR27041.
This is because there would be too much stress on the cradles - the lower the bikes got the more they'd twist - and because the rack arms would no longer be horizontal and have a place for the bikes to rest on. The Softride is different because the bikes hang vertically.
So to tilt... view full answer...
The stock bumper beam/crash bar does not get put back on your 2021 Tesla Model Y when installing the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT58MR.
The bumper beam will remain off, which is indeed different than the installation of the EcoHitch Invisi Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH39FR.
The Draw-Tite hitch essentially replaces the bumper beam, while the EcoHitch fits in behind the beam. view full answer...
I would be happy to help!
For your sons 2012 Tesla Model Y I recommend the Tekonsha # 119250KIT. It is a universal harness and would require quite a bit of extra work, but is the currently the only option available.
This will pair up perfectly with the EcoHitch Invisible Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH39FR you already purchased.
The only other components needed to tow a trailer are a ball mount, hitch ball, and hitch pin and clip. If you do not already have these they can be purchased all... view full answer...
I have another option for you, but the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock for Kuat Transfer Bike Racks - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # HLT you mentioned will not work with the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # HR200Z as the lock has a different thread pitch than what Hollywood Racks uses.
Instead you will need the Hollywood Racks Threaded Hitch Lock for 2" Hitches # HRLHPT or Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock and Cable Lock for Hollywood Racks Commuter, Traveler,... view full answer...
The Gen-Y Anti-Rattle Clamp # 325-GH-063 is actually designed for 2 1/2" hitches. For your 2" hitch, you will need the # GY88XR. This is smaller in size and is specifically designed for 2" hitches. The wedge style of these anti-rattle devices has offered very good stabilization when needed.
I do need to mention that with this being a wedge style device, it may need a little force to get it in the hitch and working properly. I included a review video we have of the Gen-Y Anti-Rattle Clamps... view full answer...
The EcoHitch # EH39FR for your 2022 Tesla Model Y does provide a much easier solution for removal of the appearance panel for access to the hitch opening compared to the Draw Tite # DT58MR.
If you fast-forward to the 25 second mark of the attached install video for the Draw Tite Hitch # DT58MR you can see what it takes to remove the rear trim piece that covers the hitch opening. We had to use a trim panel removal tool so if you were concerned about ease of removal and install I would rather... view full answer...
I recommend installing the EcoHitch Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH39FR for your 2023 Tesla Model Y and here is why:
Both the Draw-Tite # DT58MR and the EcoHitch # EH39FR install behind the bumper and have a really clean appearance, but the main difference is that the Draw-Tite replaces your bumper beam while the EcoHitch sits lower and allows you to reinstall the bumper beam.
Normally I recommend going with the Draw-Tite brand because their installations are typically easier and at a lower... view full answer...
