Correct T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for a 2023 Tesla Model Y
Question:
Im looking to install a trailer wiring harness on my 2023 Tesla MY but it appears there is an issue with the higher voltage battery on this new model vs the older MYs. The tech at Tekonsha says their part 118875 for the 2022 MY may work but it hasnt been tested for the 2023 MY. You dont list that part on your web site but the TK56FR looks a lot like it! Is it the same thing? Im willing to take the risk with the battery voltage issue. Im pretty sure I can come up with a voltage controller to reduce the 16VDC to 12VDC. My question is: Can you get the part 118875 that Tekonsha lists for the 2022 or confirm that the TK56FR is the same thing? Also, do you know of any customers that have installed any of the wiring kits on the 2023 MY? Thanks,

It sounds like you're looking for the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # TK92VR which is the same as part 118875 and a confirmed fit for a 2021 - 2023 Tesla Model Y. This harness is a plug-in play fit which does not require any splicing into the vehicle. Unfortunately, we don't have any review on the new model at this time.
If you don't already have a trailer hitch yet, I recommend the EcoHitch Class II Trailer Hitch Receiver part # EH39FR which has a nice hidden design.
Unfortunately the Tekonsha # TK92VR is currently unavailable. We now recommend the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT as the wiring harness for the 2023 Tesla Model Y.
