Will ZCI 4-Way Wiring Harness Fit 2023 Tesla Model Y

Question:

I recently saw an add from Canada of t-one wiring 118875 for Tesla y 2023 and enquired of zc1 or x I from same dealer. They told me that tekonsha only recommend 118875 but not the ZCI and that if I bought it and it did not work then there would be a return cost . Please advise. Is T- one best at this point? Is it really plug and go ?

Whoever you spoke with was either mistaken or not being fully honest. I just checked with Tekonsha, and your 2023 Tesla Model Y is 100 percent compatible with the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 119250KIT.

The other part you mentioned is on (very) extended backorder and is not just plug and go, there is more to it like running wires to the battery. The ZCI will work, and while it is a more involved install, you won't have to cut into the wiring, it does clamp on. It's highly reliable and, importantly, it's available for your '23 Model Y so the # 119250KIT really is the best option by far.
