There have not been any major changes to the Stay-In-Play system since 2016, so I believe it certainly would be worthwhile (and a $$$ saver) to remove the major parts from the now-wrecked car. This will include all of the components you need to transfer your system to a new vehicle, including a new breakaway kit.

It doesn't even mention anything about having to lower it while installing the hitch. The Hollywood Racks SR2, # HRSR2, is designed to fit on vehicles with a rear mounted spare up to 12 inches wide as long as the vehicle does not have a center mounted back up camera on the spare. There are some vehicles this carrier will not fit but your Grand Vitara is not excluded which means it should fit just fine as long as you have the factory spare tire size and no back up camera. From what I could find online it looks like you can flat tow your 2013 Suzuki Grand Vitara as long as it is a 4WD with a transfer switch. If it is a 4WD without a transfer switch then you need to use a trailer to keep all of the wheels off of the ground. For a 2WD you can tow it using a tow dolly with the rear wheels off of the ground. You will want to verify this and specific instructions in your copy of the owner's manual.
