When installing the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT you'll put sensors on the left and right turn signal wires as well as the stop light circuit and tail light circuits on your vehicle. The only way to know which wire carries which function is by testing the wires using the included test light, but you'll want to test the wiring behind each of the tail lights.
When it comes to routing the wires, we don't have... view full answer...
The Ride Rite Kit you would have installed on your 2006 Lincoln Mark LT would be our part # F2350.
The amount of air pressure you will need will require you to do a bit of trial and error. I would recommend you load truck up and then keep inflating the bags till the suspension sits as level as it does when unloaded. That will be the ideal pressure for all situations.
You always want to keep a minimum of 5 psi in the bags to prevent them from prematurely wearing out. This ensure the bags... view full answer...
If you are backing up in a straight line or just very slight angles then you would not have to disengage a friction anti-sway bar such as # 83660. But in most cases you would want to disengage/remove the bar to avoid damage to the unit and to the trailer frame. I have linked a video showing an installation for you. view full answer...
To install the Curt 4-pole wiring harness installation kit # C59236 that fits your 2015 Lincoln MKT you will access the vehicle wiring behind the two taillight assemblies. The pigtail wire leads that exit the converter box's left side attach to your car's stop, turn and running light wires using the included quick-splice connectors. You will also make a ground and 12V+ power connection.
I have linked an installation video showing this kit installed in an earlier model year Lincoln as well... view full answer...
I've checked with Tekonsha, Hopkins and Curt, who are the three major brake controller manufacturers we deal with. Nobody at any of the three manufacturers can tell me anything whatsoever regarding a brake controller installation on a 2015 Lincoln Navigator, which really surprised me.
I've heard unconfirmed reports that the Navigator uses the same brake controller wiring adapter as the 2015 Ford F150 which would be part # 22292. I've provided you with a photo showing two possible locations... view full answer...
To install the Curt Hitch part # 13707 in your 2010 Lincoln Town Car you will need to do a little bit of drilling. You will need to drill 4 holes into the frame of the vehicle. Don't worry though, this is a pretty standard hitch install and it won't affect the strength of the frame.
I attached an install video for this hitch for you to check out as well for further install info.

The heat sink coolers like the Derale Dual-Pass Heat Sink Transmission Cooler, item # D13266, do not perform nearly as well as the traditional style coolers. These coolers have a single large cavity and do not force the liquid through a number of small cavities as a tube or plate and fin style cooler would. In comparison the heat sink style would not perform as well as the smallest plate and fin style transmission cooler.
For your Town Car I would recommend the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin... view full answer...
The Curt trailer hitch part # C12130 does require some frame drilling for installation. The frame should not be too hard to get through but frames are made of steel. Your best option would be to invest in a nicer drill bit and drill to get through the frame quicker. view full answer...
According to the online owners guide for a 2013 Lincoln Navigator, 4WD models are only to be towed with all 4 wheels off the ground, on a car-hauling trailer. It cannot be towed with any wheels on the ground, as transmission or vehicle damage can occur. view full answer...
If there isn't an easily accessible point of entry into the engine compartment through the firewall on your 2010 Lincoln MKT then you will need to drill a small hole to run the wiring harness power wire. There are a couple of things to be aware of. First, be careful that the other side of the firewall is clear. And second after making the hole and route the wire through it be sure to seal it up with silicone such as # LT37464. view full answer...
Lets start with the trailer connector. I can tell you what the functions are so it will be easy to connect to the lights once we determine their functions.
On a 4-Way, you will have one pin that is covered. That is the ground. Right next to it is the running light pin. Then the left turn/brake light pin. And the last pin is right turn and brake lights.
Now, on the lights, since the common wire on both sides is red, I am inclined to believe this is the running light wire. What you will... view full answer...
We have installation instructions online, see link, for the Curt Class II Trailer Hitch, item # C12253. Installation will require disconnecting rear fascia tabs, fishwiring fasteners into the frame rail, applying Galvanic isolator shields to the blocks and hitch tabs that contact the aluminum bumper, raising hitch into position, and attaching to forward fasteners, drilling two 7/16 inch holes, fishwiring bolts to rear holes, tightening hardware to specific torque recommendations and reattaching... view full answer...
The installation instructions for Curt front mount receiver # 31352, see link, do not specify any vehicle modification for installation on your 2006 Lincoln Mark LT. But it is always possible that some trimming of an air dam or fascia may be needed on some models.
We also have Draw-Tite hitch # 65043 which should not require any modification. The receiver will sit below the front fascia. I have linked videos and instructions for both hitches for you. view full answer...
Actually, to install the Putco Liquid Spiderweb Grille Insert, # P303117, on your 2005 Lincoln Navigator, you do not have to remove the grille at all. If you wanted more room to work when installing the insert, I suppose you could remove the grille, attach the insert, and then reinstall the grille, but it is not required for installation. I have included a link to all of the grille options we have for the 2005 Lincoln Navigator for you to view. view full answer...
I have looked over the installation details for the Curt T-Connector wiring harness, part # C55373. Due to the fact that the battery is located in the trunk, I would estimate that a reasonably handy individual could easily complete the install in less than an hour.
Other than one connection to the battery, this is pretty much a plug-and-play type installation.

Installation time for the Roadmaster EZ4 Base Plate # RM-524447-4 on the 2018 Lincoln MKX will be approximately 4 hours for an experienced installer and naturally longer for a first-time installer.

Installation time for the wiring options for the MKX will vary depending on the... view full answer...
You are right the blue wire is usually for electric trailer brakes and runs to the blue wire on the brake controller. In some cases the blue wire is wired to the backup light circuit to disengage hydraulic surge brakes when backing. The black wire is normally used for accessory power and the yellow wire is auxiliary power that is used to charge the battery. view full answer...

The Timbren kit part # TFR150D is going to give you additional suspension support to help out with the weight of your generator, but the ideal solution will be to add more spring bar tension to your weight distribution system. If you can try angling the spring bars further down or use fewer links on chain hangers to see if that helps. view full answer...
Yes! The front and back parts of the Thule UpRide Roof Bike Rack # TH599000 can be easily flipped so that the bike rack can be used on either side of the vehicle. This rack comes assembled aside from the T-Bolts or clamps (depending on what type of roof rack you have) and it is ready to go for the passenger side. I've actually flipped it a few times myself so I can verify personally that it isn't very difficult.
