I have a solution for you. Unfortunately, we do not carry (and they do not make) front trailer hitches for your 2010 Jeep Patriot.
However, we do carry rear hitches for your vehicle. For a great economic hitch with a 525 pound maximum tongue weight and 3,500 pounds of maximum gross towing weight, I recommend the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver - 2" # 75712. The Draw-Tite has a 6-inch distance from the center of the pinhole to the end of your rear bumper, so you will be able to use 2-inch... view full answer...

I checked the owner's manual for the 2016 Jeep Patriot and there is not all that much information on flat towing apart from an explanation of the models that can be flat towed. Since the vehicle has a feature that drains the battery while being flat towed I recommend supplying a trickle charge to the battery from the motor home.
To do this I recommend using coiled umbilical kit # HM47054. One end plugs into a 7-Way on the RV and the other end plugs into the 6-Way included with the kit.... view full answer...

You can reinstall the tow hook if present when installing trailer hitch # 75712 on a 2012 Jeep Patriot. You will have to drive out the knurled neck bolts on the tow hook. I have included a link to the installation instructions that explain this process. I have also linked a video that shows the rest of a typical installation.

I spoke with my contact at Yakima about your older model Yakima ROC bike rack. The # Y8890174, that you referenced, is designed to fit the Yakima FlipSide or StikUp bike racks only.
For the older model Yakima ROC bike racks there is no longer an adapter made by the manufacturer. An alternative option for you would be the Brophy Hitch Reducer 2 inch to 1-1/4 inch # HT02. This adapter will allow you to use your 1-1/4 inch bike rack shank with a 2 inch hitch receiver on your vehicle. view full answer...

There's either a short between a 12 volt power source and the running light circuit of your trailer wiring or the converter box of your trailer wiring is damaged and it's keeping that circuit hot all the time.
What you will want to do is test the wires going into the box of the converter box for voltage with a circuit tester like the # PTW2993 to see if there is voltage going into the box when the taillight functions of your vehicle are applied, and then test the output side of the box... view full answer...
