All weight distribution systems are going to create quite a bit of noise unfortunately. The amount of tension in the setups and the fact there is a lot of metal to metal friction in all of them under all the tension will create quite a bit of noise.

I am assuming you have electric brakes? If so there could be a number of reasons why the rear brake(s) on your trailer are getting hot.
