The angle of the nose of your trailer will definitely help with turning clearance. Especially since the coupler of the trailer is at the very front. The only way you would not need mounting brackets and base rails in your 2011 Ford F-250 is if you had the factory rails in your truck. You would know this because your truck bed would have 4 pucks, or small holes, where the fifth wheel hitch mounts.

I may have a solution for you, however we do not carry any products that will allow you to use the welded inverted king pin on your 2008 Ford F-350 to tow a fifth-wheel trailer.
The only way to do this will be to simply remove the inverted king pin assembly from your truck completely. If you are able to do this, you can then just install standard fifth-wheel hitch rails to use with a fifth-wheel trailer hitch.

I'd recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite, part # F2550. You will need to remove the jounce bumper you described, but the collar shown in diagram I provided will be reused. Grinding off the head of the rivet would be the easiest way to remove it.

It sounds like your 2014 Ford F-350 has the factory rail system or sometimes called factory pucks. Since you are getting too much play in your system, I recommend the Curt Q20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider for Ford Towing Prep Package - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs # C16530-16020. For fifth wheel towing height clearance you want at least 6 inches between the bed rails and the trailer overhang while the trailer sits level to avoid bed rail interference on elevation changes. Now what I suspect you are really interested in is turning clearance since you have a short bed truck and they typicallyneed a slider hitch to allow the trailer to slide without hitting the nose of it to the cab of the truck.
