I spoke with my contact at B&W and they do not have a specific locking pin for the head on the Companion hitch # BWRVK3600. So there are some options. You could replace one of the pins with Kuat lock # HL1. It is a 5/16 inch diameter so it would fit loose in the 3/8 hole. The span of the pin is 3-1/2 inches.
Or another option my contact suggested was to use a cable lock such as # 8419DPF.

We do have a plug and play 4 pole trailer connector harness for a 1990 Dodge Ram 50 pickup. As long as your trailer has minimal lighting (one taillight per side without multiple marker lights), the Curt # C55317 would work great for you. You can certainly replace a Dexter hub/drum with a non-braking idler type hub. You'll need to match up the set of bearings. The idler hub needs to use the same inner and outer bearing parts in order to fit on your spindles. The linked photo shows how those bearing numbers appear.
You'll also want to confirm your wheel bolt pattern so that your wheels will bolt up easily. The linked article will help with that.

A short bed truck by itself can pose a challenge for 5th wheel towing due to the limited front-to-back clearance between the truck cab and the trailer's overhang. When we add the Rambox feature we also add another complication: reduced side-to-side clearance.
Hitch makers like Reese, Curt and B&W discourage use of 5th wheels in such trucks; that said, there are those that have satisfactorily installed 5th wheels anyway.
