Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs for a 1998 Dodge Rame 2500 Diesel
Question:
I have a 98 dodge ram 2500 diesel and a 1800 pound slide in camper I carry in it. Which air bags do you recommend.

The Firestone Vehicle Suspension, # F2220, that you have referenced would be a good choice if your 1998 Dodge Ram has Contact Overload Springs. This kit works on either 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive models that have contact overload springs. I have included a link to the installation details below.
There are a couple of ways to determine if you have overload springs. On the 2500 and 3500 series Dodge Ram, there will be two extra rubber jounce bumpers installed over the spring pack on both ends. These will be 10 inches from the spring attachment points. If you see these, then you have overload springs. If you do not see them or are just not sure, you can have a dealer run the VIN of the truck. They should be able to tell if your truck has them or not.
If you do not have overload springs, the Firestone Vehicle Suspension, # F2071, is the correct kit. I have included installation details below.
