You can most likely use the tool box, but I would recommend taking a few measurements to make sure there will not be any clearance issues. You will need to make sure that the height and depth of the tool box will not interfere with the fifth wheel trailer.
If the height of the front of the trailer loft clears the top of the tool box by at least 6 inches, you should be just fine.
The fifth wheel hitch is installed on the truck so that the king pin sits directly over the center of the... view full answer...

We have many good choices in A-frame trailer type tool boxes you can see on the linked page. These include plastic, aluminum and steel models from well-known makers like DeeZee. You can click on the specific size you prefer.
For a lightweight plastic option we have DeeZee's 6-cubic-foot Specialty Series tool box # DZ91717P which measures 36 x 19-1/2 x 18-inches tall. Mounting hardware is included. Plastic boxes spare you worries about rust and they tend to make less noise too. This box... view full answer...
Although this battery is designed to install on the side of the frame on your trailer, it should still work properly if you install it on the bottom of your tool box. The battery is completely sealed so you will not have to worry about the internal chemicals leaking out. Something to keep in mind is that the box might see some extra wear and tear if you are installing under your tool box instead of on the side of the frame. view full answer...
We offer trailer tool boxes in steel, aluminum and plastic and for a-frame or underbody installation. The linked page will let you see all boxes and the filters on the page allow you to narrow the results shown based on your preferred type, material, brand and color.
In an a-frame type a great cost-effective choice is the DeeZee # DZ91717P which is of sturdy black plastic construction and that features 6-cubic-feet of capacity. This box measures 36 x 19-1/2 x 17-3/4-inches. A similar aluminum... view full answer...
There are quite a few options when it comes to tool boxes for an A-frame trailer, and it will come down to how much room you have to work with, and what material you want the tool box made out of.
The RC Manufacturing T-Series Trailer Tongue Tool Box - A-Frame - Steel - 5.2 Cu Ft - Black # 313-TM362016M you were looking at is 36" long x 20" tall x 16" wide and is made of powder coated steel. If this size fits your frame this would be a great option.
I went ahead and included a link to... view full answer...
The DeeZee Specialty Series Trailer Tongue Tool Box part # DZ91717P comes with the box and mounting hardware needed to attach it directly to the top of the frame rails. It does not include a metal base nor is this needed. I have attached a video for you of a sample installation you can use but please keep in mind not every trailer is the same so yours may require some modifications such as adding support or cross bracing etc. view full answer...
The UWS A-Frame Trailer Toolbox - Low Profile - 2.9 cu ft - Gloss Black # UWS04531 is currently the shortest A-frame tool box we offer at 13" tall, and since we are not the manufacturer of the tool box we are not able to make them any shorter. view full answer...
The RC Manufacturing T-Series Trailer Tongue Toolbox - A-Frame - Steel # 313-TM362016M is just the steel box. Most people drill into the bottom of the box to hold the box to the trailer frame with self-tapping screws like # WLS100.
You can weld it if desired, but that is not how most choose to attach the box to their trailer frame. view full answer...
With having tool boxes in your bed you still need to have 6" of clearance from the top of the tool box to the underside of your 5th wheel camper. Using the Ranch Hitch Universal 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter # AM3100 you will still need to measure your pin box dimensions to ensure you will not have any issues with the corners of the pin box hitting either a front mounted or side mounted tool box. Remember you will need Safety Chains # AM3109 as they are required on all ball type... view full answer...
It looks like you already have everything you need to complete this mission. The only thing left to do would be to drill a hole or find an existing wire path into your trailer from the battery box and run the wiring to your lights.
The last thing you'll want to make sure you have is some silicone # 0160297 to seal the holes and keep water out. view full answer...
The RC Manufacturing T-Series Trailer Tongue Tool Box part # 350980 has a black powder coated finish. Powder coated finishes are usually not as smooth as painted finishes. They are however much more durable than paint. If the tool box was painted it would chip easily and reveal the metal underneath which would eventually rust. view full answer...
There sure is!

As long as there's a lip or ledge for your tool box to attach to the mounting kit part # DZ97904 could work well for attaching your box to the trailer.
The other option we see work well is to run bolts through the floor of the box and the trailer to secure it. view full answer...
The Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution System, # BXW0750, has undergone a design change. The chain hanger brackets now have a rotating system that is parallel to the trailer frame and you use a wrench to turn the drum and lift the chains.
It is all on the outboard side with the exception of the top bracket that rests on top of the trailer frame. The bracket is less than 1/4 of an inch tall off the top of the trailer frame so the 3 inches of space you have is more than enough space.

A slider hitch would be a solution to allow your trailer to have the needed clearance to fit around your tool box.
If I were in the market for a slider hitch I would easily pick the Demco Hijacker Autoslide part # DM8550034. This hitch will automatically slide back as you make tight turns to allow you the turning clearance you need.
This hitch will slide back 14 inches so you might measure to make sure that would be enough clearance. view full answer...
The RC Manufacturing T-Series Trailer Tongue Tool Box # 350980 has what I would call a satin black finish. This is the reason it is not as shiny as others and the finish is smooth, not textured. view full answer...
I am sure there would be a way to mount a fenderwell tool box like the part # DZ95 to the side of your trailer. The install brackets of the box are designed to mount the box to the side of the bedrail so I am sure you could find a way to secure them to the side of your trailer. view full answer...
