Will Blue Ox Weight Distribution Systems Interfere with a Trailer Frame Mounted Tool Box
Question:
Above my trailer tounge rail, about where the lift bracket would mount. I have a tool box mounted that has a three inch space between the box and top of frame rail. Will the top part of this lift bracket clear okay and be able to set the chain with the tool? The side of the tool box is flush with the frame rail. Thanks

The Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution System, # BXW0750, has undergone a design change. The chain hanger brackets now have a rotating system that is parallel to the trailer frame and you use a wrench to turn the drum and lift the chains.
It is all on the outboard side with the exception of the top bracket that rests on top of the trailer frame. The bracket is less than 1/4 of an inch tall off the top of the trailer frame so the 3 inches of space you have is more than enough space.
Since the box is flush with the frame, it will not interfere with turning the wrench to raise the spring bars. If you need a properly sized ball for this system, use # 19286 (2-5/16 inch diameter) or # A-90 (2 inch diameter).
