Today we're going to take a look at the Deka hammer crimp tool. Now this tool allows you to crimp connectors by using a hammer or a vice as force. Basically what you'll do is just open this crimper, put your terminal or splice into the base area, release the crimper, and then actually strike this ram with a hammer until the cable is secure. If you notice it does have this locking lever right here on the back that makes it for easy loading. You can just pull up on it and swing it to the right or the left, and it'll hold that ram in the up position while you put your terminal or splice into the base. Once you get it in there, just release it and then hit that with the hammer.
This is designed to work with eight gauge up to four opt age cable connectors. Again, just to show you, open it up, put your terminal or splice in there, release it, and then hit it with a hammer to secure your cable. But that should do it for the review on the Deka hammer crimp tool.

I needed a crimper that can handle heavy gauge cable. This crimper fit my needs perfectly. It small and I can take with me on cranes and other machinery were there just isn't room for a long handled crimping tool and I don't have to wonder when the batteries are going to stop working on the those high dollar battery powered tools. You can't get a more dependable and versatile tool for crimping terminals on cables than this one.

This tool has never failed me. I abuse it never clean it and every time I dig it out of the dirt I ped in it is always ready for the next terminal
