This is a simple product bundle for basic transport, I wouldn't go on a freeway with something like this. Maybe the bundle is a bit pricey for what it actually is (some foam and tie-downs). It doesnt really seem to fit my minivan which has a fiberglass top, or fit my small row boat either, so I have not found a use for it.

One nice thing is that all the items are kept well and tightly in the product case. It is thin plastic but has held up to lugging around and stayed closed (plastic has some tabs that close it back up). So the various parts of this bundle won't get lost as long as they are put back in the same case they came in. The included instructions are somewhat good (as opposed to not having any instructions at all).

Exactly what I wanted.
etrailer never
lets me down!

by:

Excellent Kayak supports for my Malibu 2XL.

by:

Trailer has been great towing our kayaks but have a issue backing it up. Probably because
the tongue of trailer is so long, but I can un-hitch and move with ease.

by:

Very quick, simple and efficient solution at great price.

by:

Everything looks great. Arrived quickly. Works as they should.

by:

Product looks great, exactly as advertised. My only concern is that the installation instructions cautioned against mounting the kayak pads over a sunroof, which I will probably ignore since my kayak is only 46 lbs. nonetheless, I wish the ad had mentioned this about using without a roof rack.

by:

The product arrived quickly and meets my high expectations. The 4/5 stars is because of one issue. I wondered why the instructions say the green straps go through the vehicle and not just around the side bars. My first time using it, I ran the straps through the vehicle, and later it rained buckets. When I got into the vehicle, I found the rain had channeled along the green straps and dripped enough water to soak sections of the four seats. Perhaps running the green straps through the side bars provides less security or makes more noise, but I'm going through them next time.

by:

Only a few minutes after I placed the order for my Deluxe Kayak Carrier, I received notification that the 'wheels are in motion.' I see the names and photos of the people who are preparing my order. Instantly, this personal touch tells me that my item is being handled carefully and efficiently. I've never seen anything like this. Why aren't more companies doing this? A few days later my product arrives safely at my home. You would think that I'd have paddling on my mind after it arrived. Instead, I kept thinking about customer service. I only hope my kayaking trips run just as smoothly.

by:

Works adequately for carrying a kayak occasionally.

by:

Easy to install and looks very nice on Mazda CX-5
Have used it twice to carrie 13.5 feet kayak and it did the job with no issues

by:

Product was as expected but the service from Ashley E was outstanding.

by:

Worked well...easy to use..recommend

Great price, good quality, why shop anywhere else

Arrived earlier than expected!

  • Will Malone Foam Blocks for Kayaks Fit TracRac Crossbars
The TracRac ladder rack crossbars are larger than standard roof rack crossbars so the Malone Foam Blocks for Kayaks # MPG152 won't fit right out of the box. However, these are made of foam so if you were to make the cutout a bit larger to fit the TracRac crossbars you wouldn't be harming anything. This would be the same case with any other foam blocks so the Malone brand is just as good to cutout as anything else.

  • How to Carry Two Kayaks On 2015 F150 6 1/2 Foot bed With BakFlip Hard Cover
The best way to carry 2 kayaks on your 2015 F150 6 1/2 foot bed is a ladder rack. I recommend the Pro Sport Ladder rack part # RS69FR. This works with the BakFlip tonneau cover. It also allows you to fold your cover up when you need access to the bed without interference compared to other ladder racks that are not compatible with tri-fold hard covers. The bars on the ladder are 72 inches long so you can carry both kayaks side by side. The tie downs part # A4000882 slide into the mounting...

  • How Do I Tie the Bow/Stern Ties of the Malone Deluxe Kayak Carrier # MPG152?
Since the Malone Deluxe Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs - Foam Block Style - 18" Long # MPG152 already comes with 2 bow/stern tie-downs anchor kayak to your vehicle, you will not need to purchase any additional tie-downs for your kayak. The bow/stern tie-down s-rings are designed to attach at a front and rear vehicle tow ring or other sturdy attachment at your vehicle's bumper or frame. I went ahead and attached the part of the instructions that explains this process to this answer.

We can help you with options for transporting your kayaks on your 2014 Chevrolet Equinox that has front-to-back roof rails but not crossbars. If you are looking to take the two kayaks just down local roads to a nearby pond, for example, you may want to consider the most inexpensive option, foam block type carriers that do not even require a roof rack. These rest directly on the roof and are a great cost-effective solution if you're not doing highway driving with the boats and so long as...

If you'd like to use foam blocks you can absolutely do so, with the Malone Deluxe Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs - Foam Block Style # MPG152. The Malone Axis Truck Bed and Roof Load Extender - 2" Hitches # MPG907 would certainly fit the 2" receiver on your 2012 Toyota Prius C. If I am understanding you correctly, you are wanting to leave the rear hatch opened so that the kayak can be sitting inside your car, and then use this load extender to support the rear of the kayak. This may work as it is definitely designed to help support loads that extend past the vehicle, however, I am not sure that this would be the best option as...

I presume you have one of the standard 2-bar racks. You have the option of installing a roof rack on your F-150's super-crew cab to help support the bow of the boat. Curt hitch # C11065 is a fit only for the T5 convertible model for years 2011 through 2013. I cannot recommend installing this on a car for which it was not intended.
