Radial tire has a ply rating of 8 and a 2,540-lb maximum load at 65 psi. The 15" x 6" aluminum trailer wheel has a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern. Clear-coated, matte-black finish provides rust resistance. Meets DOT specifications.

This tire has a 1-year worry-free guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way, it will be replaced at no charge.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Kenda Karrier ST225/75R15 radial trailer tire in a load range D and it's mounted on this 15 inch black mesh aluminum wheel with the 6 on 5-1/2 half inch bolt pattern. Now, this tire and wheel assembly is ideal for stock trailers, utility trailers, and even campers. The wheel is a Sendel Series T17 aluminum wheel, which is a mesh style design wheel with the matte black finish. You notice the front and even the back of the wheel is clear coated for protection. Now, this wheel does not come with a center cap.
We do sell those separately. If you do want one, the center cap when you purchase it, you do wanna get one that has the same diameter as this pilot hole 'cause when you install your center cap, it will go through this hole. The diameter on this pilot hole is 3.75 inches. Now, the wheel itself, the diameter is 15 inches. The width on just the wheel is six inches wide.
And this wheel does have a bolt pattern of 6 on 5-1/2 half inches. And if you wanna measure that bolt pattern on a wheel that's an even number of lugs, like in this case six, it's pretty simple because if you notice, the lug holes are directly across from each other. So to measure, all you have to do is pick any hole, let's say this one, and then just measure from the center of that hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it. On this, it'll measure 5-1/2 inches, so that means it's a 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern. This does use a wheel lug size of half inch by 20, and the weight capacity on just the wheel is 3,200 pounds.
Now, the tire that's mounted on this wheel is a Kenda Karrier special trailer radial tire. This special trailer design will couple the strength of a bias tire with the durability and stability of a radial tire. And it is created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use on other vehicles. Does use double steel belts and then full nylon plies to combine for superior function and long life.
The tread on this, if you look, is a nice computer-generated tread design and they use premium rubber compound materials to offer superior traction and wet or dry conditions. Now, the tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall, right by the rim, it'll say ST for special trailer 225/75R15. The R means it's a radial tire. Section width on this is 8.6 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top where it's inflated is 28.5. And this tire is a load range D, which means it's an eight ply rated tire, has a maximum load capacity of 2,540 pounds at 65 PSI. And the last thing I wanna mention is all the new trailer tires do come with a speed rating stamped on them and they stamp it on the sidewall by a letter designation. And usually where it's at is if you go right after the tire size we just went over, there's two numbers for load index and then the letter M. Speed rating M will mean it has an 81 mile per hour speed rating. Now, this assembly does meet the DOT Department of Transportation specifications. But that's gonna do it for the review on this Kenda Karrier 225/75R15 radial trailer tire in the load range D mounted on this 15 inch black mesh aluminum wheel.
