Video Transcript for Review of etrailer Trailer Jack - 7K Pipe Mount Swivel Jack - TJP-7001-B

Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this round, pipe mount swivel jack with foot plate. This is gonna be a utility jack that will allow you to raise and lower your trailer. It has a lift capacity of 7,000 pounds and a support capacity, once you have it raised, it'll support up to 8,000 pounds. So, it is going to be ideal for your agricultural and commercial applications.

It has this tubular swivel design that's going to allow you to twist the jack up for storage, and then twist it down again for use to raise and lower. This does have a weld-on installation with this female pipe mount here. So, this will weld onto your trailer and you'll be able to slide the jack in like that, or you could remove it and just leave that female pipe fitting on there. And then of course, we do have our pull pin that's going to allow us to keep it in place. Whether we want in the vertical orientation or in the horizontal orientation, it's gonna make sure that it's gonna be nice, and snug, and secured in there for us.

And our pin does have this lanyard connection to make sure that it's not going to get lost while we're disconnect. As far as our pipe mount dimensions go, our inner pipe here does have a outer width of 2 1/2 inches, an inner width of two inches. And then our female or outer pipe here has an outer width of three inches. And then of course, a 2 1/2 inch inner width, so that that will slide right in place on that inner portion. This does have a top wind handle.

It's got this black claw grip. It's gonna be very comfortable and easy to crank our jack up. Our handle does have a radius of about 8 1/2 inches. So, not too large and it should give us enough leverage to raise and lower as needed even under weight. The bracket height here, when we have it fully retracted, we're going to be looking at 11 1/2 inches from the bottom of our foot plate to the center of our pipe.

And then when we have it fully extended, we're gonna have a 21 1/2 inch distance there. So, that's gonna give us a travel of 10 inches. Our foot plate is eight inches long by approximately six inches wide. When I measured it, it was 5 7/8 of an inch wide, so still plenty wide there. It helps to minimize sinking into soft ground. So, no matter the environment, you'll still have a nice, solid base there. This does have a durable black powder coat finish on our outer tube. And the inner tube and foot plate have a rust resistant, clear zinc finish. So, they are going to hold up well for us and give us plenty of corrosion resistance, help it to last a nice, long time. You can see here at the top, we do have this grease zerk built-in. So, it's gonna be very easy to hook up our grease gun, pump some grease in there, and make sure everything stays well lubricated, so that we're gonna have a nice, long-lasting jack here. So, if you are looking to replace or add a jack onto your trailer, this is gonna be a great option for you, especially if you don't mind welding that outer pipe in place, this will give you a nice, sturdy action and give you plenty of stability for your trailer. And that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..

Very happy with this jack after using it for several months now.
Very easy to turn even when trailer is loaded. Another great product from etrailer.

by:

Very nice jack for my tandem trailer after welding part of the jack on the trailer tongue , now I can swing the jack up horizontally so it won’t get bent up on high spots in the road or in the field.

by:

The jack is great, I probably should have bought a taller one, but it works. Now I can open my tailgate without it hitting my trailer jack.

by:

This trailer jack is excellent for the price. It is one of the few with a 7000 weight capacity. It far exceeds many of the 5000 capacity jacks on the market because it is designed and comes fitted with a grease zerk for easy lube. This was a replacement of an existing jack and the detailed specifications were spot on. Other than some slight modifications to the pin-hole alignment, the jack fit as specified. We now will see how long it lasts. At least for now, it is a great product for the price.

The 7000 lbs jack worked perfectly on the tongue of my 15 ft bush hog

by:

larger foot plate works great

by:

A quick and easy fix to my rusty, frozen jack! Fit directly on existing mount.

Hey Carol,
I bought this jack to replace
one that was very similar to yours. I could have kicked myself for not doing it earlier. This trailer jack will lift more weight and it’s so much easier to move up and down. More weight easier to work its a great product. I would recommended this product to my friends and family.
Also I was upgraded on shipping thanks to Your great staff.
Thank you
Mike

Ordered 10 of these jacks for a project, and they arrived very quickly. They are replacements for a different brand, and seem to be very good quality and heavily built. Great price also I would order these again.

Worked well, like the large welding ring and grease fitting.

by:

by:

Easy to weld on and is not to difficult to jack a trailer up.
