Overall the installation went smoothly. There was one issue. The brackets included that are supposed to be bolted to the bumper bracket did not have the holes drilled in the right spot for my 1985 B150 shorty. I had to elongate the holes to get them to work. (See photo)

Dodge Ram Pickup

I was looking for a hitch for my 1989 dodge ram camper van. I talked to a gentleman at the trailers and he was able to help me order what I needed. It arrived in a timely manner and my mechanic had no problem installing it. I now can haul my boat and bike rack when I go exploring! I would highly recommend!

The Curt trailer hitch receiver is well made, beefy and strong. The fish wires that came with it is ingenious. My son and i installed it in two hour's with the help from a jack and impact. Good job Curt

Etrailer was extremely helpful. O'Reilly' autoparts weren't able to get me the the correct hitch or anyone else

by:

Once again the guys at etrailer provide a bolt on no drill receiver.
Had no problems installing, spent more time searching for my tools, :)

After 1 year the hitch still looks new. Haven’t had any problems. Thanks for a great product.

I believe this is the third hitch l’ve purchased from etrailer over the years. Fast shipping and never a problem. The Curt hitches are robust, well made and always properly fit the vehicles I purchased them for.

by:

Awesome Hitch. Easy to install and a great addition to the camper van. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for an affordable trailer hitch that is versatile and looks great. Thank you etrailer!

Dodge Van

This hitch bolted right up to my 22 year van. I want to haul a motorcycle with me when I travel in my Roadtrek van and this hitch receiver is doing the job. Well made, great instructions, very easy to install.

by:

The straps that attach to the bumper bolts don't line up quit right for my 1990 Dodge Van. The bumper brackets are curved and the strap doesn't follow the contour.

by:

Very happy with the purchase, fit right in, balanced it on a floor jack. Good hardware with the nifty bolt installer.

Dodge Grand Caravan

The hitch fit just like I expected. I like the solid feeling it gives the caravan.

  • 1985 Dodge Ram D250 Van Trailer Hitch Recommendation
For a hitch for your 1985 Dodge D250 Van we have the Draw Tite hitch part # 75140 which is a confirmed fit and would work well.

For your 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 van we have the Curt hitch part # C13041 as a confirmed fit but the # 13590 is not what you would need. The cut out in the side of the mounting bracket is designed to fit around your gas tank feed line.

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 1997 Dodge Van
I recommend checking out the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13041 for your 1997 Dodge Van with the regular bumper. This is a Class III hitch with a 2" receiver rated for 600 lbs tongue and 6,000 lbs towing so it will be prefect for basically any application for you - just be sure you check these weight ratings with what your van itself is rated for and that you don't exceed the lower of the two. If you plan on using this for towing then you also need the Curt Wiring Kit # C59236 and a...

  • 1992 Dodge Ram 250 Conversion Van Hitch Recommendation
The Zephyr conversion didn't do anything to change the rear bumper and frame area of your 1992 Ram 250 van, so a standard hitch would work great for you. I'd recommend the Curt Class III Receiver Hitch # C13041. The hitch has a 6000 lb towing/600 lb tongue weight capacity. If used with a weight distribution system, that would climb to 10,000/1000 lbs. In other words, the hitch will have more towing capacity than the van, although you'll be limited to the actual capacity of the van. The...

  • Trailer Hitch Receiver For 1997 Dodge Van
Thank you for the photo, and in regards to the carrying capacity, you'd need to check your owner's manual to see if your 1997 Dodge Ram conversion van has a tongue weight capacity, which would be the maximum limit you can carry. Assuming that is more than the combined total of your bike and the rack, there is a hitch that has the needed tongue weight capacity of 600 lbs (assuming that your bike and rack weigh less than that). From you photo it looks like your '97 Ram has the standard bumper...

  • Thule T2 Classic VS Thule DoubleTrack Pro XT for a 1997 Dodge Van with Spare Tire
I went ahead and confirmed with Thule that the distance between the center of the hitch pinhole to the first bike position on the DoubleTrack Pro XT # TH92BJ measures 6 inches long. The same measurement on the Thule T2 Classic # TH9045 is only 3-1/2". The T2 Classic is also only available for 1-1/4" hitches, so it won't be compatible with a 2" hitch. If you are absolutely set on using the # TH92BJ, you can always purchase a hitch extender to get the length you need. The first thing you...

  • Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 1997 Dodge B3500 Full Size Van
Curt trailer hitch # 13590 is designed to fit 1997 to 2003 full size Dodge vans with the factory step bumper. Your 1-ton van is a full size model so as long as it has the factory step bumper the hitch will fit. If it has the standard bumper and not a step bumper then the Curt hitch you would need is # C13041. For either hitch I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # EBMK2216. It comes with a ball mount with a 1 inch rise or 2 inch drop, 2 balls, and hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag....

  • What Trailer Hitch For A 1985 Dodge Van Has The Highest Capacities?
I have a different option for you, but there is not a Class IV hitch confirmed to fit your 1985 Dodge Van. A Class III hitch is actually the most common hitch found on trucks, vans, and SUV's and should be perfect to match the towing capacity of your van, if not exceed the towing capacity of your vehicle. I recommend going with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13041 which has a 600lb tongue weight rating and 6000lb trailer weight rating, or 1000lb tongue weight rating and 10000lb trailer...

  • Hitches to Fit 1987 and 1995 Dodge Vans
There are three hitches that fit the full-size 1987 Dodge Van with a standard bumper. These are parts # 75140, # 87492 and # C13041. The hitches that fit the 1995 Dodge Van (again the full-size with standard bumper) include three shared parts, # 75140, # 87492 and # C13041. But the other hitches that fit the '95 are not common fits with the '87. The hitches for the '95 appear on the linked page. If you have a hitch that can fit the '95 you can install it using Replacement Hardware kit # RHK.

  • Front Bumper Bike Rack for RV
We currently do not carry any bike racks that are specifically for the front bumper of an RV. There are a couple reasons for this; bikes mounted on the front of the vehicle can block your line of site, headlights and turn signals and the airflow to your engine. If your RV has a continuously welded steel bumper that is between 4"-4-1/2" wide you could make the Swagman Around the Spare 2 Bike Rack # S80501 work, but again, I'm not sure it would be the safest option for you unless you mounted...

I have listed both options below: Standard Bumper - Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver item # C13041 Step Bumper - Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver item # 13590 For a e-bike rack, I recommend the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack item # HLY84FR. • Best Way to Carry Bikes on 1994 Dodge 350 Camper Van
I have a solution for you, but unfortunately we do not have a front mounted hitch for the 1994 Dodge Camper Van. Since carrying bikes on the front of a vehicle can impede your head lights and turn signals, as well as potentially add unneeded stress to your vehicle by restricting airflow to your engine, I would recommend another method altogether if possible. If your camper van has a spare tire, I recommend using a spare tire rack like the Malone Hanger Spare T3 OS # MPG2147 which fits...

And from Curt we have # C13041 rated for 600 pounds tongue weight and 6,000 pounds gross trailer weight. Both of these are Class III trailer hitches with 2 inch receivers. • Trailer Hitch for 1995 Dodge B3500 RV
There is a trailer hitch for your 1995 Dodge B3500 RV, but it is a rear-mounted hitch; there aren't any front-mounted hitches that fit this particular vehicle. I confirmed with the manufacturer that the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13041 is a fit for a '95 Dodge B3500 so long as it does not have a factory step bumper. I have added a link to the instruction manual of the hitch for you to check out as well.
