Type A Towed Car Installation
The diagram above shows the installation of Blue Ox's tail light wiring kit on towed cars that have standard red lights that function as both brake lights and turn signals.
Type B Towed Car
The diagram above shows the installation of Blue Ox's tail light wiring kit on towed cars that have separate amber turn signals and red brake lights, as well as a brake light wire that splits before reaching the tail light sockets.
In automobiles with separate turn signals, the amber signals will not function when hooked up to your RV. Instead, the tail lights will act as turn signals upon receiving communication from your RV.
Type C Towed Car
The diagram above shows the installation of Blue Ox's tail light wiring kit on towed cars that have separate amber turn signals and red brake lights, as well as a brake light wire that does not split before reaching the tail light sockets. This installation requires you to split the brake light wire.

Today we're going to take a look at the Blue Ox Tail Light Wiring Kit, with the block diode. Now when you're flat towing a vehicle, if you use this kit installed on your towed vehicle, it'll allow a motor home or RV to power the lights on your towed vehicle without having power feedback.Basically this diode block here permits electrical current to flow in only one direction. And that's from the motor home to the towed vehicle, and that'll prevent electrical feedback. This part . this kit includes everything laid out here on the table. Starts with a 26 foot long, four-wire harness.

One note I do want to mention, that in automobiles that have separate turn signals, which are called a three-wire system. The amber signals will not function when hooked up to your RV.

This product easy to install with basic electrical knowledge. Works well, but gets hot to the touch. I will review more later as to how long this system last.
This kit is great. It allows you to use all of the running lights on the tow vehicle, not just the brake and turn. Makes for a very professional looking installation.
