V-Bar Icebreakers
The V-shaped studs (also known as icebreakers, spikes, or cleats) that are built into these twist-link tire chains bite into ice, providing superior grip for a safer ride on ice-covered roads.
Installation
1. Drape the chain over the tire, making sure that the V-bars are facing out.
2. Drive forward about 1/4 of a tire revolution. (You can also lay the chain out and then drive onto it.)
3. Fasten the ends of the chain together.
4. Use the cam tensioning devices that are built into the side chain to tighten. Do this by inserting the flat end of the included wrench into the slot on each cam and twisting it.
5. Drive forward a bit and tighten the chain as needed.
You can use rubber or chain adjusters (sold separately) to increase the tension on the chains for a tighter fit.
How to Choose Snow Chains for Your Vehicle
To choose the right snow chain, you must match your tire size. Those measurements can be found on the side of your tire, as shown below.

- (185) - indicates tire width in millimeters
- (60) - gives you the aspect ratio (sidewall height as percentage of width)
- (15) - denotes the diameter of the wheel rim in inches

Just got my chains in the mail the other day, very fast shipping and delivery was excellent.
I used the chains for the first time today on my NEW truck and one of the links broke causing one of the cleated ladders to come apart and scratch up the paint on my quarter panel around the wheel well. This all happened in about the first 10 feet that my truck moved and the very first time these chains had been used.
I am happy with the service I have received in the past from etrailer and this time has been no different. Just disappointed in the quality of these chains.

2017 GMC Sierra 3500
I bought 2 sets of these chains and love them! In 2 feet of snow the truck was un- stoppable on the lake with just the set on the back. I didn't have enough room between the tire and front bumper to put them on the front. They were very easy to install and with the cam adjusters they tighten up very well!
Ice Fishing season was over and I hooked my 6,000# ice shack up and to be safe we used 2 trucks together with these chains and plowed our way through 2 feet of pretty wet snow and ice. Very impressed with the traction that they give you.

My F250 Tremor has 285/75R18 stock Goodyear Duratrac tires, which handle snowy conditions pretty well, but being in soCA chains are required during and just after snow storms. I purchased a set of these chains to keep in the truck when I go up to the mountains and chain requirements are in place. When I received the chains, I did a dry run to determine how well they fit. I gave the instruction video a quick watch, then did the install on my own. The chains go on fairly quickly and have a snug fit once the cams are tightened. I did notice that on the inside of the tire, a few links hang which may cause some banging and clanking around that area, so I used a small bungee cord to pull those couple of loose chain links up to keep from hanging and swinging around. Taking the chains off was pretty easy too. I did purchase the multi-arm rubber adjuster to ensure that the chains do not wreck my wheel wells or anything else. I figured this is cheap insurance to help if a link breaks. These don't seem to be needed due to the snug fit, but having them on just makes the chains fit much tighter and secure. Just based on the appearance of the chains, bag they came in, fit, and install; these are pretty good chains.

I use the chains on my vehicle to plow snow on 7 miles of gravel roads, this year being 4 snowfalls. The installation of the chains are fairly easy to accomplish. I'm confident that the rugged construction will last for years to come.

First time I used them I didn't make it 10 feet before they broke and messed up my pickup. Try to return them but never received the return label that you said you were sending. Horrible product you should stop selling them

2006 Hummer H3
I have a 2006 Hummer H3 Adventure Pack on 35's and I have used the chains quite extensively. I live in Northern Minnesota so we get our fair share of snow. The chains are very impressive, I use my truck to drive around our 400 acres so I just left them on al winter. I can drive down our snowmobile trails in the dead of winter. I almost got stuck once but I put it in 4 low and locked the diff, it drove right out. All in all I love them.

2014 Ram 2500
I have a 2014 Chevy 2500 crew cab short bed duramax with 295/70/18 cooper STMaxx tires on and these chains are heavy duty and easy to install with the quick cams. I’m located in PA so we have had a lack of snow but the times I used them on the ice they provide great traction and the price is so reasonable. Thank you etrailer

These chains seemed real nice coming out of the package. Then when I installed them they were way to big. It seems that my tires are on the smaller end of the range for these chains but I had to remove one cross section and 5 links to make them tighten up the way they are supposed to. I haven’t used them yet but I’m sure they will go through any snow and ice I encounter

2007 Dodge Ram Pickup
These chains I got more than meet my expectations. They are made better than I could imagine. The other chains I got from a large tire dealer are not half as good as these chains are. I would recommend these to everyone that doesn’t want to brake a link and have it slap the side of body. You pay for what you get. Great product !!!
I tow a 24’ enclosed car trailer and now I will purchase chains from etrailer and get my cables replaced.

Haven't installed it, but ordering through eTrailer is an exceptionally good process. Free shipping and no tax made this a much better value than going through local retail. Shipping was a few days and delivered to my door. Research through local suppliers requires them to order model-specific products and it takes them a few days and at least two trips to their store -- this is a much better process. The instructional videos, reviews, and product details are spot on and more helpful than the manufacturers' site. Plugging in my vehicle loads up recommendations that fit my vehicle -- other retailers make you use filters and I'm less confident the product is specific for my make, model vehicle.

2013 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty
The chains work exactly as they should and with the tighteners they are great. BUT the bags that come with them are CHEAP and not sturdy enough for the weight of the chains. They should come with a heavy-duty bag with handles and a velcro closure.

Hello. I have yet to try the product, and I'm sure they will be fine, but would like to share my comments on the service, which has been excellent. Upon ordering, I immediately received an email that someone was working on my order as it appeared it was out of stock. I responded, requesting to be advised asap if my delivery date request could not be met, as I needed these chains for plowing. Just was looking for an honest answer. I next received a phone call within an hour that all was resolved and my chains would deliver on time as planned. I thanked the Customer service person for the immediate response and help. Chains arrived a day early - on my doorstep last night when I got home,just in time for weekend plowing! Excellent Customer Service - thanks!

2019 Nissan Titan
Holy moly! I really like these snow chains, they are no joke, well built! I can't wait to use them, well, you know what I mean. I'm going to use them for very muddy areas too, besides just the snow and ice. I just got them today 1/10/2020 will test fit them and make any adjustments to excess links that are not needed for a custom fit, which may be only a link or two on the backside. Do not want to mess up anything by letting the one or two links just flop around. Then going to test fit the spring adjuster that I order with them. It is easier to do it on dry ground and good weather. Then be ready for whatever comes your way! Very happy with the Titan chains.

2004 Jeep Wrangler
I have only unpacked the chains and have not mounted them yet. But after inspecting the chains one of the cross chains is twisted as some others have reviewed the same problem. I bought these for a 04 Jeep Wrangler with 315/75R16's. With this I am skeptical of their quality. I will most likely attempt to cut out a link and straighten them myself as opposed to returning. Time will tell of their quality and/or durability.

I have 2017 Ford F250 Platinum. Tire size 275/65 R20. Those chains are too long and I had to cut off 4 links all the way to last one and it still little to long.

Ordered them and got them the day before I went up to Big Bear... Hooked up easy, very strong, and cleaned up well when it came came time to take them off. Great purchase! Had fun helping other 4x4's who got stuck (cause they didn't have chains on) pretty big storm on 1/22/17.

I can’t get them real tight even when I have the chains hooked to last link and one row on both sets I can’t get the v bars all facing to the ground so I end up having to drive on them not to impressed for 180 dollar chains
