Randy: Hey guys, it's Randy here at etrailer again. Today, we're taking a look at the SAM replacement cylinder for the Fisher Snow Plows. Now, this is an inch and a half bore cylinder with 10 inches of stroke. So, fully contracted we're looking at 17 1/4 inches, fully extended 27 1/4.Now this is designed with two 1/4 inch MNPT fittings so whether you need it to come out of the side that the pin comes out of or the back or the front, you'll be able to get it in the right position.The pins that come through are going to be 1 inch in diameter. We have one here at the bottom and of course same diameter up there at the top. Now this is going to be handy to have whether you just don't want to send your old cylinder off to have it rebuilt or just to have one on hand in case the cylinder on your plow goes down and there's not time to have it rebuilt.These pins, top and bottom, they're gonna come out just with a cotter pin so you can remove those with a pair of needle nose pliers, pull the large pin out and then you'll just have to worry about getting your connection, your hydraulic line connected into it.So, with the one wrench and some tape there just to seal it up, some thread tape, you shouldn't have any issues doing a quick replacement on one of these even if it is in use.You can see comparing the old one here to our new one here, these are gonna be carbon copies of one another designed to be used interchangeably.And that's going to complete our look at the replacement power lift cylinder for Fisher Snow Plows..

Fisher plow cylinders use a 3/8"ORB x dash-6 JIC flare fitting for the hose connection. Customers using this replacement lift cylinder should be aware that a new 1/4" NPT x dash-6 JIC flare fitting is needed with this cylinder to connect to the Myers hydraulic hose.
My local auto parts shop makes hydraulic hoses so I was able to get the correct fitting quickly.
Aside from the fitting issue the cylinder is a perfect replacement!!!
