  • Erickson

Durable tie-down straps pair quick-release action with a retractable design for easy loading and unloading. Any unused strap automatically retracts into the housing, and you can quickly release each strap by pushing a button. 1,500 lbs Max load.

Features:

  • Tie-downs let you secure cargo in your truck bed or trailer
  • Retractable straps automatically wind up into the built-in housings with the push of a button
    • Keeps excess strap from tangling or flapping in the wind
  • Ratchet mechanisms make it easy to tighten down straps and maintain tension on straps
    • Handles are easy to grip
  • Push buttons on ratchets quickly and easily release straps when you're ready to unload
  • Zinc-coated steel bodies are corrosion resistant
  • S-hooks have hardened steel cores to ensure that they won't bend or flex
  • Vinyl coating on S-hooks helps prevent scratches on your cargo

Specs:

  • Strap dimensions: 1" wide x 6' long
  • Safe working load limit (WLL): 500 lbs
  • Maximum load (break strength): 1,500 lbs
  • Diameter of plastic-coated S-hooks: 23/64"
  • Quantity: 2 ratchet straps

Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

these straps are great do exactly what I need them to do.

by:

Product was easy to open , ratchet closed, and seems very workable for my purpose , which was to hold my kayak upon my trailer. I think it will all work well, since I did not need any heavy duty type of tiedowns.

Peter Creager update: They turned into a piece of crap. One got stuck, had to cut the nylon in half in order to free up my kayak. Something inside must of broke. The other one is working fine so far. I would of never ordered this type. I would of paid more money and got a better product.

The best straps Ive ever used. Easy to use and secure. Better than any rachet strap ever made. Mount securely where you need it and never worry again

by:

Good quality and provides secure strapping. Only wish the hooks a strung clips to retain secure hook up.

by:

I love these. I have such a hard time releasing other brands. My husband introduced these to me a few years ago because I needed something easier to use. Since his passing is up to me now so these are a must have in the Jeep.

by:

Previously purchased these straps and was very pleased, so I got more to handle rest of our atv's.

Great does what i need and very reliable and easy to use.

by:

Have not used it yet to move utility trailer. Parts seem very sturdy and heavy duty steel. Instruction sheet for assembly is pictorial. Easy enough to put together but instructions would benefit by id'ing which of the length bolts go with certain assembly parts.

E-trailer service and delivery was exceptional. I will not hesitate to recommend them to others. Numerous contacts via email to let me know status of order and who to call if I was not happy. Fast delivery.

Good job guys.

I am very pleased with both products. I use the tie downs about once a week and they still operate like new. The hitch lifter has been a God send for me moving a folding trailer that weighs about 400 lb. I am 66 with rods in my back and can move the trailer, even uphill on grade with one hand.

by:

I use these buckledowns to secure my tractor to its trailer. I volunteer snow plow a walking rail-to-trail in my town of Avon, CT. They are ridiculously simple to use and very suited to the purpose of preventing the 1,500 lb. tractor from sliding around on the slippery/icy trailer bed.

Dennis J.

They continue to perform as needed. No complaints.

by:

Quick delivery and exactly what I order ed.

by:

Have purchase this style of ratchet strap before and have been satisfied with them. Customer service and shipping from etrailer is. second to none.

by:

Owning three trailers I buy my parts from etrailer they have great selection and service and their prices are very good topped of with fast shipping you can’t beat them.

Excellent. Very good tie downs at a great price

I just received these ratchet straps today and have already put them to use...: they are awesome. I never used or even heard of retracting ratchet straps.. I love them .. Thanks for the great product and the fast shipping ...

Still love em, and use them , would love to have more of these straps ....

by:

I bought for my hubby to use to tie down his Mid Size Polaris UTV to the trailer and not have the extra piece of the straps blow in the wind. He hasn't used them as intended (deer season is over -- I bought them too late) but he has played with them and so far he is totally impressed with what he sees.

by:

The ratchets work very well and I've used them quite often. The only draw back is I wish the straps were longer. Otherwise a very good product.

by:

Works great for holding my liquid oxygen reservoir in place in my Chevy HHR. Easy to use. Shipping was FAST. Thanks.

Still doing itso job.

by:

I love these retractable ratchet straps. Secure your cargo and don't have to worry about dangling strap ends that usually end up with knots.

by:

These are pretty slick I have five tie downs tangled in the back of my truck at all times. I will probably use them on my motorcycle lift table They are slick I do worry about how the elements will treat them (back of the truck)
I don't use ratchet types much but this solves all the problems that ratchets have

by:

Works great for securing my ATV's and Side by Side on our trailer.

by:

I use the ratchet straps to tie down the cover on my bass boat. Easy to use and make sure that the cover is tight and keeps the rain water and trash out of the boat.

by:

Product is exactly as advertised. It does a fine job of tying down a 4-wheeler or motor-bike less the hassle of the straps flailing in the wind. Compact and easily stored between uses. The value of the self-contained webbing exceeds the extra cost of retraction.

by:

I just recieved these straps to secure mynew jet ski on the trailer. They were just what I was looking for, the way they hold tight and no loose strap, and I'm very satisfied as I have been with other products I have purchased from Etrailer.com. Definately recomend.

by:

e trailer had great communication from the minute I ordered, I knew exactly where my order was. The ratchet straps are great I am going to order the heavier ones also.

by:

I bought these to use as transom hold down straps for a lightweight fishing boat. The straps fit the bill and they appear to be of decent quality.

by:

They are much easier to use and you don't end up with a tangled mess like the ones that do not Auto retract! Storage is much easier.

RECEIVED RETRACTABLE STRAPS--ARE PERFECT, WORK WELL, ARE JUST WHAT i WANTED. FAST SHIPPING, WOULD ORDER FROM AGAIN...THANKS, RICH

  • Roof Rack for a 2003 Toyota Tacoma to Carry Canoe and Ladder
The Sportrack Semi-Custom Roof Rack part # SR1005 is a semi custom fit roof rack that offers a great price but it does not fit quite as well as some of the other roof rack systems. Unless you absolutely have to have the most inexpensive option I would not recommend this rack for you. A much better option for you since you plan on carrying longer items, (canoe and ladder) would be a Roof Rack with T-Load Hitch Mounted Load bar that consists of the following parts: Inno Aero Crossbars #...

It sounds like you're wanting to use the Let's Go Aero TwinTube U-Build-It Slide-Out Hitch Rack, part # HMK901 as a hitch load extender, rather than using it as a platform to mount a tray or box to carry extra cargo. Assuming you have a truck, I would actually recommend using a product designed for that application, like the Erickson Big Bed Junior Load Extender for Truck Bed or Roof - 2" Hitches - 350 lbs, part # EM07605. I've attached a photo of it being used to haul a motorized jon...

  • Can Erickson Re-Tractable Ratchet Strap 34413 Be Used As Rear Tie-Down For 19' Boat.
Yes the Erickson Re-Tractable Ratchet Straps w/ Push Button Releases - 1" x 6' - 500 lbs - Qty 2 # 34413 you were looking at would be a great option for securing the rear of your 19' boat to your boat trailer as long as it is a pretty light weight boat. Since the # 34413 is a re-tractable strap there will not ends of the straps flapping around in the wind, and since these straps have a combined working load limit of 1000lbs the rear of your boat will not be able to move around when hitting...

Some of the more popular options are the MORryde Hitch Mounted Trailer Stabilizer # MR22AR and Valterra Folding Manual Stabilizer # 020106 for stabilizing a motorhome. Since you will not be attaching the jacks to your motorhome these are easier to position and raise than attempting to hole a scissor jack style stabilizer. My preference would be to use...

As long as your 2016 Toyota Tacoma does not have the Deck Rail System, the Erickson Over-The-Cab Truck Bed Ladder Rack # EM07707 will fit well and is a great choice for an over the cab rack. This ladder rack has a clamp-on installation that will not require you to drill into your truck bed. • Will Curt Aluminum Cargo Carrier Make Noise in the Hitch Because of Folding Mechanism
The folding mechanism on the Curt cargo carrier # C18100, or anything that folds, does allow a little play and that could lead to some noise. That is just the nature of the beast. The chance for movement and/or noise is greater if the rack is empty. I have seen some people use bungee cords like # EM06664 or #EM06656 to help control movement when the carrier is empty. Something less stretchy, such as a ratchet strap # 34413, is a better option for that.

My recommendation is the Rhino-Rack roof rack consisting of # RRVA126B-2, # RRRLKVA, and # DK179. This is a great system that will give you aero bars for less wind noise and a cleaner look. The Dutton-Lainson Worm Gear Hand Winch with Split Reel, # DL10952, is not designed to secure the tractor and is not rated for this type of application. I would use ratchet straps like the Erickson Re-Tractable ratchet straps, # 34413, to secure the tractor in the trailer. I have included a link to a video review of these straps below. These straps will work well for securing loads but should not be used to hoist or pull the tractor into the trailer.
