Video Transcript for Camco RV Water Pressure Regulator with Gauage Review

Today we'll be taking a look at the Camco brass RV water pressure regulator with gauge part number CAM40064. The brass pressure regulator is designed to deal with the inconsistent water pressures that you may find at some RV parks. This brass regulator help keeps your water pressure at a constant 40-50 PSI. With the built in gauge, it allows you to easily see that you're in that range. There are 3 settings on the gauge, a yellow which means you're below 40 PSI, a red which means you're above 50 PSI, and a green area which is the 40-50 PSI range, which ideally you want to be in. This gauge does fit a 3/4 inch diameter water hose, and it is made of a durable brass construction. Now let's go out to our water hookup and show you how it works. Now we're here at our water supply hook up. Take the female end, you can see there's a rubber washer in there to eliminate any leaks, here's the male end, and here's our gauge. Again, yellow is for below 40 PSI, the green is the ideal range between 40 and 50 PSI, and the red show that we're above 50 PSI. We'll simply take our brass pressure gauge, you can see here this is an arrow that shows we have the correct flow, go ahead and put this hand tight.

Next we'll go ahead and take our garden hose hookup and connect it here to the male end of the gauge. Go ahead and turn our water on. Now as you can see here, our gauge goes in the green section, which means we actually have between 40 and 50 PSI of water pressure going into our camper or our RV. Now with that, that will conclude our quick look at the Camco Brass RV water pressure regulator with gauge part number CAM40064. .

My product review is for the following ordered items:

Valterra EZ Coil-N-Store Drinking Water Hose for RVs - 25' Long - Blue - W01-0022

Patrick Distribution RV Hand-Held Shower Set with Shut-Off - Parchment - 277-000048

Camco RV Water Pressure Regulator w/ Gauge - Brass - CAM40064

Arcon RV Power Cord Adapter - 110V - 30 Amp Female to 15 Amp Male - 9" Long - AR14245

While I cannot rate and review each listed item above as they arrived to me yesterday and are still each individually packaged I will provide review of etrailer.com's customer service; out of a possible 5 star rating!

The PROs; excellent communication with me pertaining to my order. Notified me when it was shipped and provided up to date tracking information. Order was processed and shipped all at once together once all items were located. Highly recommend and I anticipate future orders with etrailer.com.

The CONs; there was an unforseen delay in my shipment (train derailment) and I waited longer than expected to receive my order. While this in no way negatively reflects against etrailer.com's solid reputation with me (the customer) or excellent customer service regarding my order, it doesn't change the fact that my order was delayed and wait time ensued as a result. Granted, it was minimal wait time but I leave a 4/5 rating this time and room for improvement on my future orders with etrailer.com.

Water pressure gage really helps. Now I don't have to worry about too much water pressure at campsites and breaking a pipe.

by:

Just received some of the items I had on order from etrailer. They appear to be in excellent condition and exactly what I needed. Besides that, I have never had anyone bend over backwards to assist and keep me informed as to the status of my order as these folks. The fellows at etrailer, Troy H. and George J. have gone out of their way in my humble opinion and you can be assured I'll do business with this company in the future.

by:

  • Is the Furrion FR98SR RV Water Heater Gas Or Electric Powered
The Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR98SR requires both gas and electric to properly function. It needs: 12VDC Power Input. 7.2-65PSI water Pressure (40-50PSI recommended). I recommend using a water pressure regulator like # CAM40064 to ensure proper water pressure. 11" WC - 14" WC (13" WC recommended). I recommend having a licensed technician check your pressure and adjust your regulator accordingly to ensure proper gas pressure. Typically most RV water heaters will require both...

Since the Atwood XT Model GE16EXT RV water heater is discontinued and the only other 10 gallon water heater currently available is larger in size I recommend the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater 60,000 BTU # FR98SR. It has smaller dimensions at 12-5/8L x 12-13/16W x 19-3/16D so you'll need to make slight alterations to your cutout hole to fill in the gap but the performance output of this unit will be worth the work. First test your voltage using a multimeter like the Digital Multimeter # PT89ZR. If you're not receiving enough voltage you may be too far from the battery and need to increase the gauge of the wire.
