Is the Furrion FR98SR RV Water Heater Gas Or Electric Powered
Question:
is this unit considered gas/electric? I would be installing into an rv and i believe the current set up is for either or, can this be the same?

Expert Reply:
The Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR98SR requires both gas and electric to properly function. It needs:
12VDC Power Input.
7.2-65PSI water Pressure (40-50PSI recommended). I recommend using a water pressure regulator like # CAM40064 to ensure proper water pressure.
11" WC - 14" WC (13" WC recommended). I recommend having a licensed technician check your pressure and adjust your regulator accordingly to ensure proper gas pressure.
Typically most RV water heaters will require both but there are some outliers that use solely gas or solely electric so you'll want to take a look at your current water heater and test the connections to ensure you're receiving the correct voltage, gas pressure, and water pressure so you can troubleshoot any issues before installing the # FR98SR. If you have any further questions please feel free to ask.
