Go Tankless or Go Home

Tankless Water Heater

Say goodbye to quick, military-style showers, refilling your tank, and waiting for the hot water to recover. This revolutionary, compact design replaces your outdated tank heater while taking up half the space. Enjoy the luxury of a hot 20-minute shower or the power of steaming hot water to wash those greasy pots and pans after dinner.

Unlike traditional tank heaters that require constant energy to keep your water hot, this tankless, propane-fueled water heater only uses energy when you turn on your faucet or shower, providing the ultimate efficiency at a campground or off-the-grid. The on-demand hot water has no recovery time, so you can wash dishes and then take a hot shower to unwind. It's perfect for full-time RVers hitting the road solo or with a spouse. You can also install it at the cabin for those weekend hunting trips or in other small living spaces.

Safety First

This state-of-the-art technology is equipped with built-in safety measures to ensure you, your family, and your RV stay out of harm's way.

Its vent-free design has an ODS (Oxygen Depletion Safety) shutoff device that detects low levels of oxygen. Once oxygen levels drop below 18 percent, the flame extinguishes, and the fuel supply is cut off. The unit will not operate again until the living space is properly ventilated and an adequate supply of oxygen (20 percent) is introduced. When proper oxygen levels are restored, you can manually restart the unit.

For further protection, the water heater has a shutoff timer that will automatically turn off the appliance after 20 minutes of use, preventing the unit from overheating while also reducing the risk of hot water scalding.

Pretty easy to install, need to make sure the hot air won’t trigger the auto shut off. That’s the case where I had to put my hot water heater. Can’t really use the cold water, have to turn up the hot water so it can keep up. Still can take a hot shower and do dishes, just not a whole lot of pressure. I am happy with my unit after working with it for a while. Easy and fairly cheap solution for my situation.

by:

Love the tankless water heater. Never run out of hot water with this one.

by:

At first it was great, but about 2 months in and we don't even have enough hot water to take a 2 minute shower and that's with shutting off the shower while soaping up. We have tried everything. I am not happy with this unit

That's very odd to hear. I got in touch with the manufacturer and they have suggested that you can try: 1. If there is a water pump, it cannot fluctuate or the unit will sense that there is not enough water pressure. Which would result in the unit shutting off as a safety measure. 2. If there is debris blocking the magnet inside the water inlet, the unit could shut off. 3. It is also possible that you may just need to reposition the temperature sensor to get a more accurate reading. Because this could be dangerous to deal with, I recommend taking it to a technician.

by:

Our shop installed this water heater in a concession trailer, and holy cow did it deliver! Hard to say if it would keep up with a full-flow, longer shower, but it performs nicely.

Should have gave 5 star however I should have bought a bigger model. Good product and it's not a use once throw away design. I have had it hooked uo for around 2 years now.
I live in a rv and have a 4 gallon propane / electric heater Original in the trailer. When I bought this instant from etrailer I had forgotten mine had the option to be ran on propane. My plan was to try to get away from my electic heater using this one. Let look at model quick. I guees its the 30 gallon instant one by Excel. So I tried to get this to have hot water when I want without running my generator. My 4 gallon tank has an electric heater on it that I was using for a real quick shower. So when I hooked it up it was most easy to install right after my 4 gallon tank so that's what I did. So on impressions of the flash heater it seems like a great looking unit. I wish I would have got a bigger one. I think I paid around I 200 delivered so not bad on pricing. So I think it claimed around 20 degree warmer water. Anyway what I'm trying to say is like say at 40 maybe 50 degrees weather outside I didn't get a hot shower. It definitely helps my 4 gallon tank do its job and I can get away with just warming it up to warm and let the flash burner get it comfortable. It helps using both... I think two of the units in sync with eachother would be great. I would save up for bigger models if you have cold weather or maybe just buy two and you can run a line from one to another. During the summer it worked fine just turn the water onn wait a few seconds and bam hot water great time for easy shower. The product works great and have not any problems with it. I changed the d cell batteries with some new ones and the thing is solid and dependable I will probably be using it for a long time. Maybe one day go to two of them side by side. Also I plan on getting my original propane / electric to work on propane also. Maybe for this winter so I can leave it on and have hot water for my needs. The propane part fires up but I think the thermo coupler isn't telling the main burners to open up. I am also working on sanitizing my potable water tanks cause they are getting nasty and I can't drink my water right now. I love having my own rv and little upgrades and tlc can make your day. Etrailer has done me nothing but good business so I would recommend them for your instant and trailer stuffs. I did buy a flasher trailer wiring thing for my old truck that I could not figure out but it was probably my wiring/ mess of a truck k lol. Have bought a few items from these guys they usually surprise me with there service so that's why I decided to give them a hefty review plus I know us rvers tend to help eachother.

by:

The safety device on the inlet to detect flow is unreliable

by:

thanks george. as a matter of fact i do not like my excel heater. i was never able to hook it up properly because the input threads won't seal properly. and, as numerous others noted, the input line is 1/4" flexible copper that is not anchored to the frame (even though it is designed to be so). therefore, any attempt to tighten the threads down twists the copper line. therefore, i must purchase my own termination and solder it on myself.

i just haven't gotten around to it yet. so, i don't even know whether or not it works.

so, no. i'm not satisfied. i am happy to post this to a review.

I wondered if you would be able to send a picture of the connectors on your heater. I reached out to the manufacturer who advised that the connections are one half inch and the copper is not flexible. If I could send them a picture then we can better see what is going on. If the fittings do not fit correctly it is recommended to use Teflon tape.

I installed this in an off grid cabin to have hot water and a shower. This works perfectly! Best upgrade I've made to my cabin so far!

by:

Heat of water varies. Temperature of water is sometimes hot, sometimes not as hot, next time extremely hot.

You may need to adjust the knobs on the front for temperature and water flow depending on what activity you are using the heater for. There is a safety feature built it that will not allow the water to get dangerously hot.

I haven’t hooked up the heater yet but everything looks great. The USPS destroyed the box but luckily the product was not damaged. E trailer has always been excellent to deal with. I will continue to purchase products from them in the future.

by:

Installed in cargo camper conversion. Heated 60degree water to scalding instantaneously and uses very little space - I tucked it behind the oven where there was plenty of clearance based on specifications and was otherwise wasted space. Anxious to see how well it heats water once I take my rig ice fishing!

by:

Used it once I drained it for winter it must of not emptied all the way. When I tried to run in this summer it blew water all over. It was out of warranty so I didn't bother calling. Thru it away and bought one somewhere else. I set this one up so I can take it down in the winter.

by:

I couldn’t be any happier with the water heater

by:

Works great. Takes a few times to get the water flow and temp set.

by:

Works as advertised

by:

It worked beautifully

by:

The water heater works just as it is supposed to. We love it.

by:

Awesome product would recommend it to anyone easy to install easy to use hot water on demand every time I WOULD buy again

by:

Fast shipping. Excellent communication. Great pricing.

by:

Have yet to install and use it. Appears well constructed.

by:

Works great! Beats running out of water with a 6 gallon heater!

by:

I bought this hot water heater for a family that doesn't have pressurized water...only gravity-fed. I own one already, and it has worked well for me. I've had it for 4 years and haven't had an issue with it .

by:

works well removed old heater put a piece of plywood over opening mounted to that winterized was Easey no problems on start up

by:

it has served its purpose, output for hot water is adequate if you like shower with little to hardly any pressure. I will be upgrading it to a larger unit that will maintain hot water at a higher pressure...
