Today we're going to be taking a look at the Camco refrigerator vent cover in white, part number CAM42160. It's, also, available in black, part number CAM42163. This vent cover keeps dirt and debris off your RV's refrigerator vent. Here you see it in black. We have the white one installed. It's made out of RV resistant polypropylene, so it's going to be durable and stand up to harsh sun rays. It fits Camco, Dometic, and newer Norcold bases, and the installation hardware is included.
It can even be cut out to accommodate your solar panel. It's intended for a base that's twenty-six inches long and seven and a half inches wide. It's a very simple installation. After removing your old vent cover, you'll simply take the mounting brackets, you'll attach them to the base. You want to make sure that they're in the upward position, like that. Once you get those mounted, with the smaller screws first, you'll then take your new vent cover, align that up, make sure it sets in place, and then you'll take the longer screws, and choose the appropriate hole. I also bought a set of wheel chucks to hold my spyder motorcycle in place in my covered trailer. They were not cheap. But they are very sturdy & hold the spyder perfectly. I would recommend etrailer at the highest level.

I looked everywhere for this part and couldn't find it. I nearly gave up and then a friend recommended Etrailer. I had the part I needed in days!
Directions poorly written. Fit very low and very close to roof top. But has worked and so far refrigerator is not over heating as I feared.
This refrigerator vent cover and base were a replacement for our 20 year old truck camper. It came predrilled, which didn't match up to our existing holes, so we had to make a template and drill new holes. When we installed, I added extra silicone sealant between the mating surfaces to fill the holes. The instructions were basically useless, because the vent cover fits 2 different kinds of bases, the D base and the N base. We had the N base, but the instructions used the D and N in the same instruction, which left me scratching my head and subsequently throwing them away. It fit very nicely, and is more streamlined than the original. I would have given it 5 stars, but for the holes and the instructions.
Nice shroud easy to install
I ordered this unit to replace the original Dometic fridge cover on my 1995 Lance 880 camper. Yep, original owner and still maintaining it. The optional Camco screw placements did not quite fit on my Dometic base. The 4 and 1/4" inch widths front and rear were exact, but my 1995 base screw mounts were 22" even front to back, and the Camco spacing was slightly more than that. First, I installed the rear screws at their exact 4 1/4" spacing. Then I maximized the distance of my forward screw penetrations by drilling, then screwing into the foremost edge of the provided dimple on the front end, and the rearmost edge of the dimple on the rear. Even then the screws did not quite hit the original Dometic holes, but using a little force as I screwed, they did bite into the base securely. I am happy with this application. I know there are not a lot of 1995 units out there. I found the Camco instructions quite good but did have to jimmy things a bit for my installation.
More than that I give etrailer folks and their website high marks. My preferred vendor for all things RV and trailer.
Has held up very well over the past year, came with screws to mount it to my refrigerator vent. Keep in mind; there are many variations on RV roof mounted vents, and you may have to modify it to make it work for your application (I had to cut out a relief for a railing).
I ordered about 10 items at once. All arrived in 3 days with free shipping. Everything fit perfectly! I was amazed. This was so easy using only their search engine. The hubs, shower kits, vent covers, plugs, etc. All of it was better, than the original parts.
