When you've hit some heavy traffic on the way to the campsite, the last thing you want to worry about is getting into a wreck. This wireless backup camera system with side marker light cameras helps minimize blind spots when someone is speeding past you on a busy road. The third brake light camera on the rear will also give you peace of mind that you'll be able to back up more safely, even at nighttime or in other low-light conditions.

View Multiple Cameras at Once

Stressed about not knowing what is happening around your large Class A motorhome? Whether you're on the road or parked at the campground, this camera system includes marker light cameras so you can monitor everything going on around your RV. And these DOT-approved lights have detachable covers so it's easy to swap out the LED bulbs later on in the future.

Furrion RV Side Marker Light Cameras

The 2 amber marker lights have a 65-degree viewing angle so you can keep an eye out on the sides of your RV, whereas the red marker light has a 120-degree viewing angle to help you navigate while backing up. The rear camera can also serve as your third brake light.

Depending on your camera setup, this system allows you to add 1 additional camera (FCN48TASF - sold separately) for a total of 4 cameras. You can view all camera angles simultaneously with the touch screen as you're driving down the highway.

Or if you're set up at a campsite for the weekend, the motion sensors on the cameras will automatically power the monitor on if they sense movement in the form of a prowling animal or person.

Easily Communicate from Outside Your RV

Tired of yelling back and forth to your partner out the window as you're struggling to back in at a good angle? The built-in microphone on the rear camera and integrated speakers on the monitor allow a spotter to relay information or instructions to you from outside your vehicle. This makes it much easier and safer for you to back up in a crowded campground.

Avoid Collisions While Backing Up

No more wondering if you're getting too close to another vehicle, tree, curb, or your kid's bike while backing up. The rear assist marker lines take out the guesswork to avoid collisions and safely maneuver your RV. The lines are displayed in 3 different colors (green, yellow, and red) to help gauge the proximity of objects within your view.

Furrion RV Side Marker Light Cameras at Night

The rear camera has 8 infrared LEDs and the side cameras have 12 infrared LEDs, so you'll have a clear picture even in low-light conditions at dusk or in complete darkness at night. These LEDs provide ample illumination up to 16' for the rear camera and 39' for the side cameras should you arrive at the campsite after dark. And during the day, the integrated IR cut filter blocks out the infrared light during the day so you'll still be able to have crips, natural-looking images.

Withstand Multiple Climates and Environments

If it's raining out, or if you just simply need to wash your RV, the waterproof, IP65-rated camera will be protected against low-pressure water jet sprays. And if you're driving through rough country roads, the camera will resist dust and dirt from building up or getting inside.

Installs Onto Multiple Points In and Around Your RV

Furrion RV Backup Camera Monitor Mounts

This camera system includes 2 different mounting options for the monitor, depending on how you want to display it. You can either use the suction cup to stick it onto your dashboard or windshield. Or you can attach the tabletop mount so the monitor sits on your dashboard, and the 4 non-slip pads will help prevent it from shifting around. To power the monitor, simply plug it into a 12-volt light or cigarette lighter outlet.

Furrion RV Rear Marker Light Camera Installation

Because this system is wireless, installation is much easier than it would be with a wired system, as you'll only need to do minimal drilling and wiring. The side and rear marker lights will typically replace your existing clearance lights and bolt down with the included mounting screws. You are, however, able to install the cameras in other areas on your RV. Just be sure that the cameras won't interfere with any slide outs or other moving components.

Furrion RV Side Marker Light Camera Installation

With both the side and rear cameras included, this system can be used for both observation and for backing up. Just wire the side marker cameras to the running lights and the rear camera to the reverse lights. A trigger wire is also included to wire the side cameras to your turn signals. So whenever you need to make a right-hand turn and activate the blinker, that camera view will immediately pop up on the monitor.

Have not tested this on the road, so this covers installation.
Instructions are clear and easy to follow, I was not clear about what to do with the trigger wire when you are retro fitting to an older RV, the FAQ on etrailer had the info, thanks for that.
Installed this on a 2000 Lance camper sitting on a 1978 Ford F250
The side cameras were very easy to install, the backup camera required a little bit on modification to the camper.
I did not like the monitor install options so did some simple modifications to the stand so I could use ram-mounts.

Final setup is amazing

by:

It was plug and play as advertised

by:

Pretty good. Easy to install. Directions could be better, however. One major annoyance is neither of the two mounting stations do a good job of holding the display.

by:

Huge thank you to eTrailer support team and Katrina specifically for reading through reviews and striving to improve the situation!
I am used to running into problems and then on my own problems waiting till warranty periods run out, and I just wanted to say "may have had a weather seal failure" but Katrina came to the rescue and managed a special 1 Time Only exchange for a replacement unit.
Still need to get it installed, but the video I remember before the seal failure was fantastic! So I am going to install as soon as the weather warms up a bit and not delay like the other 3 cameras I am now more likely to get to later this summer =o)

by:

As I have yet to install the camera set this review is geared more towards etrailer. First great site where products are easy to find. Super customer service. High tech folks who actually help. Videos for product information and installation. And a host of folks that research so you don't have too. Great prices and fast shipping. Only downfall no accounts to save later purchases in. OH Well! I guess I will have to suffer. :)

I have a 2020 Grand Design momentum toy hauler.. The side cameras hoioke up very easily.. The rear I had to remove the security camera mount and drill new holes to mount rear camera and light.. Not terrible.. The screen has room for a 4th sec camera and not sure why it wouldnt be included in this kit.. Havent used it other than hook up but nice to see behing you..

Wow makes driving and backing a lot safer. I love the extra protection to see what is happening outside while we’re camping.

I want to love this, but frankly I have consistent video dropout and lag issues towing a 26-foot GD Imagine trailer in various weather conditions. I tried fully disconnecting and resetting, repositioning antennas, and praying to the antenna gods, but it's only good for about two-thirds of the time. I think "YES, finally!" and then it starts dropping out again, making me insane. Also, as far as I can tell, there is no real good antenna upgrade for this. I suspect if you have a shorter trailer, or some fancy way to beef up the signal you'll do better.

by:

The installation was fairly easy. The trailer came prepped for the rear camera so, it was attached and linked. The side cameras involved a little work due to being close to the pass-through doors. They went on with a bit of cutting of the trailer skin.

The problem is the right side trailer camera is reading that it's the left side and visa versa for the right. They are both installed correctly, facing back and the pairing button on the bottom.

Also when the two side cameras paired they caused the rear camera to unpair. I re-paired the rear and now the right side ( left camera ) is unpaired.

I've emailed Furrion for answers to my situation.

by:

Have not been out on the road yet but the install was easy even for a novice like me. My reflection 5th wheel was prewired so it was a plug and play for the rear camera. For the side cameras I used the two screws from the previous light. I put both screws in the top holes, (one behind the camera) as that seemed to secure it better then bothe screws not behind the camera. Instructions were a bit limited(or I didn't read them) on the side camera sync but I pressed enough buttons to figure it out. Picture looks great. Do watch for obstructions such as awning supports which will limit view. I also used silicone to keep the water out.

by:

After one year of use with the Furrion Camera I am completely convinced it is the best add on we have put on our camper. It is really useful driving down the road. Also, good for seeing how close you are to an object when backing in.

by:

etrailer is a great resource. This camera was a breeze to install on my Grand Design which was pre wired for this product. Camera includes sound which is a value add. One note, the camera wiring from Grand Design to the camera mount is only hot when the tow vehicle is connected AND the running or headlamps are on.

by:

My trailer was prewired for the Furrion camera so it was truly a plug and play install. Haven’t used it yet but everything works as it should.

by:

I bought this camera system to use on our new travel trailer to help with traveling down the roads, in heavy traffic and for backing trailer in.
It was extremely easy to install because all the hookups we already on the trailer. We take the screen out of truck when not using it. It is very clear and does not loose connection to camera that is 45 feet to back of our trailer.
I would definitely recommend this product.

by:

Installed on GD Imagine '22 2600RB and '15 Chevy 1500 Silverado double cab LTZ. Took about 15 min to install with pre-wired prep kit on RV. Got 5" monitor to keep from being too big on dash/windshield. Monitor is on windshield with suction mount right below rear view mirror and works great even with antenna folded down, very easy to pop off and put in console when not in use. You can also just rest monitor in the console next to power plugs, etc. Did not get the side cameras due to other reviews that they aren't really necessary, definitely agree not needed. The rear view however is a must-have if backing anywhere without a spotter. I can back out of my neighborhood driveway with somewhat limited sight and see everything in both directions Based on many internet reviews of other camera systems, glad I went with this: it was super easy to install and provides the basic purpose of backing up safely. I have no need to record or watch it continuously while driving, although it seems to work just fine while driving and not cut in/out as other reviewers have described after a couple hour round trip. Maybe higher definition systems out there with better features, but this unit has great quality and vision is very acceptable for the purpose it was designed, to assist in backing up. Simple, easy install, great value, just works!

by:

My travel trailer came rewired for a furrion camera so this was the logical choice. Camera arrived well and timely. Installation was easy and overall picture quality is good.

by:

I've owned this backup cam system for a year now and it's been a great product with no issues. This product is everything it's advertised to be. Easy install, easy connection, and a clear picture. I would definitely recommend this product.

  • Will Bluetooth Connection In Truck Interfere With Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Observation System
The Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Observation Camera System w/ 3 Marker Light Cameras part # FR98NR is not affected by blue tooth because they have a wireless connection between the camera transmitter and the monitor receiver but they do not utilize Bluetooth at all. They basically have their own wireless connection and use their own separate monitor so the camera is not compatible with any existing screens in the vehicle unless they are Furrion. They also do not require WiFi connection to work.

  • Where Should the Rear Camera Be Placed On a Trailer At the Top
The best location to install a camera on the back of the trailer is in place of the center marker light at the top. That said, removing the center light completely can be a violation of local state law. The best option we have with this in mind is the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Observation Camera System part # FR98NR as the center camera is integrated in a mounting bracket which also houses the marker light. • Can Furrion Side Marker Cameras be Mounted Vertically
There is not a vertical-mount option for the side cameras of the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Observation Camera System w/ 3 LED Marker Light Cameras - 7" # FR98NR. The reason for that is the camera can't be rotated, and while the monitor allows you to rotate the image, it rotates it 180 degrees instead of 90 degrees. To set the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Observation Camera System # FR98NR so that it could be used like a security system would require you to power the cameras from the RV battery instead of the running lights or reverse lights. This allows you to turn the system on with a switch on this circuit (you'd have to provide) whenever needed. So, at night you could then turn on any of the cameras as needed.
