Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a quick look at the JR products propane hose. Like most of your propane hoses, this is going to connect up to your LP gas cylinder and allow your propane to flow through to the regulator on your RV or travel trailer to allow you to power up those propane powered appliances. Now there are a few things that you want to look for when picking out a propane hose to make sure that it's going to work for your needs. The first thing is the length. You obviously want to make sure that it's going to be able to reach from your LP tank to your regulator on your RV.
This hose is two feet long, so if your tank is no more than two feet away from your regulator, it should work for you.The hose itself is a rubber construction, so that's going to help reduce any sort of kinks or cracking. It's got an internal diameter of a quarter of an inch, so that's going to allow plenty of propane to flow through to power up those appliances. The next thing that you want to focus in on are your connector fittings. So we've got two different sittings here. This one on my right, your left is the POL connection. This is what's actually going to connect to your LP gas cylinder.
It's going to thread onto the internal threads on your valve. And because of that, you are going to have to rotate it counterclockwise to get it mounted on, it might be a little bit counterintuitive to those of us who know the righty tighty lefty loosey method, but it shouldn't be too difficult, just take a little bit more concentration. Here on the front of it, you can see we've got an O ring and that's going to ensure a nice tight seal on our cylinders. So we shouldn't have to worry about any leaks or anything like that. This is pretty standard. Most of your LP gas cylinders are going to have those internal threads to meet up with your POL connection, so it should work for you in almost all situations.
On the other side, we're going to have the quarter inch male inverted flare. And this isn't as standard. So some of your regulators might have this fitting. Some of them might not. An easy way to tell, if you go out and look at your regulator and it's got that gold adapter fitting, it should almost always work with this quarter inch male inverted flare. Now another useful use for this hose, this can be used in a dual cylinder setup.
So if wanted to get more LP into your system, you could hook up multiple tanks to your regulator. This then would hook into your T and then you would need another hose to go down to your second gas cylinder to hook up there. But if you got that T, you could in theory use two hoses for two tanks going into the one regulator and it would work for you. This hose is UL and CSA approved. So you know it's going to meet those standards. It's going to hold up very well and do the job that you need it to do.Now if this isn't the hose that you need, maybe you need something longer or different fittings, I encourage you to come and take a look at some of our other options here at etrailer.com. Our goal is always to help you find the product that you need to solve your problem so you can get back to enjoying your time outdoors. That's going to complete our look at the JR products propane hose.
