Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the JR Products Baggage Door Catches. These are going to be a square style with that stainless steel construction. So we shouldn't have to worry about any rusting or corrosion with these. They look really nice, kind of have a matte finish on the front, a little bit more silver or a high shine on the sides there, but these are just there to help keep our baggage doors open while we're loading up all our stuff in those lower doors on your RV.
So it's going to help to grab the edge of that and keep that door up in place. So you don't have it whacking your head while you're trying to get your stuff loaded up.Now, as far as the overall size for these, it does measure. Get this in place here so you guys can see it. It's measuring about two and a half inches long by about five eighths of an inch wide, and then about, well, just under a half inch, maybe about seven sixteenths there. There are two mounting holes on the inside.
The distance between those two mounting holes is about three quarters of an inch. It does come with the hardware to get this installed. It's going to be some stainless steel hardware. So it'll match up with our catches there. So we don't have to worry about any issues with rusting over time from our hardware.
Each of those screws measures about an inch long.This does have a lifetime warranty from JR Products, and that's pretty much going to do it for our look at the JR Products Baggage Door Catches. Tried some plastic latches that I found at [online]..big mistake. Ordered these stainless steel latches and they are perfect.

The factory plastic door holders break way too easy. Going to use theses stainless steel holders and not worry about them again. Great selection of products. Fast shipping. Will definitely do business with you again
An easy upgrade from plastic door catches that get brittle and break after a few years.
I used one of these to replace a 10 year old original plastic one. These new ones have 2 screw holes. one on the open end and one in the middle. I had to drill one screw hole. They come with screws. Seems like good quality and a brushed finish.
Just what I was looking for. Installed my first set and immediately knew I had to to replace the passenger side pads as well given their age. Makes getting in and out of my truck much safer and looks better than the crumbling pads on the driver's side.
