product worked out just fine / GREAT!!!

by:

This works great on my F-350.I am enthusiastic about being able to use any hitch for hook ups.

by:

The item is exactly what we needed. It arrived safely and on time. Your service is outstanding and you are my first "go to" when I need parts and accessories for our trailer. Thank you for all your hard work keeping this business going.

by:

Nicely finished, tabs keep inner piece from sliding in too far

by:

It worked perfect for what we needed!

by:

Fit my 2022 F250 perfect. Always fair prices at etrailer.

Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeves - 3" to 2-1/2" or 2" is Excellent for your 3" hitch when you need to reduce your towing tongue size. Quality top notch and shipping was within two days

Just what I needed for my 2022 Ford F35 0!

Works great. I have have had no problem at all with this product.

by:

Works as expected. Very well built. 1 year's usage and they look the same except the label. There is enough gap/tolerance to allow them to move even when muddy, icy, dusty.

by:

Bought this for my 2020 Ford 350 XLT. It fit like a glove. The nipple on the 2" reducer makes hooking my hitch SO much better than the one I was currently using. It is very frustrating to line up 2 or more moving parts. I highly recommend this for anybody with a Ford Superduty truck.

Still 5 stars

by:

This adapter was exactly what I needed. My 2019 F350 has a 3" receiver. I only own 2" hitches. This solved the problem. I had originally bought a similar sleeve at a Ford dealership. It did not work because of a design flaw which was an unnecessary lip that blocked the hitch from fulling seating in the sleeve. Etrailer has solved another issue for me that included the exact part for the job. Thank you.

by:

Ordering on e trailer is just the easiest and shipping is very good.

by:

I got this reducer to attach my 2 inch rock tamer mud flaps to the 3 inch receiver on a truck. The adapter does reduce from 3" to 2.5 " to 2". However, the reducers from on size to the next are not anywhere near snug. The rock tamers wobble a lot.

The adapter will work, but realize there will be considerable slop.

by:

Tried out the reducers this morning and they fit perfectly. They are of good quality and good appearance. The reducers are needed so I can pull several sizes of trailers .

Russell

The reducers are working real well. They are of good quality and holding up well. I would recommend the reducers if they are required. I dont let them in all the time to help preserve the finish on them. Good quality good product.

by:

Worked great, my Ford 2020 F350 came with a 3" receiver hitch. This adapter provided exactly what I was looking for for both a 2 1/2" and 2" hitch hookup. I could not get this type of adapter from Ford, not available.

by:

This was exactly what I needed to adapt my F250 trailer hitch (3”) to the bike rack (2”) that I also bought through etrailer. The sales reps were great to deal with, they were knowledgeable, efficient, polite and personable. Both items arrived earlier than the predicted arrival date. I’m very impressed with eTrailer, this won’t be my last order with this company.

by:

USPS mail is to slow

by:

The inserts fit into the receiver and line up well when setting up. The stops on the inserts are spot-on. The inserts would perform better, however, if they extended the length of the receiver tube. Being so short, they allow some play in the hitch assembly.

by:

Great place to get the parts you need

by:

Reasonable solution foe converting 3" truck receiver.

by:

This product works exactly as described and intended for. Makes the three inch receiver on the F350 much more compatible with the various hitches around the garage. No issues and can definitely put it into the recommended column.

by:

Just what I expected

by:

This was a much-needed accessory for my 3-inch receiver hitch. I have been looking everywhere and finally found this setup on etrailer. The fit is perfect and the price is very reasonable. Plus you really get two adapters in one. The larger one reduces from 3 in to 2 1/2 in and the smaller insert slides in to take it down to a 2 in. This one adapter will allow you to use virtually all your hitch accessories with your 3 in receiver.

by:

If you are tired of your adapters falling back in your hitch every time you attempt to insert your hitch PIN then this is the right solution for you. I bought this for my 2020 F250 so I could use my 2 inch hitches and it works perfectly. The hitch pin lines up better and these adapters will not slide and disappear back in the hitch. Highly recommend.

  • Inexpensive Light Duty Ball Mount Recommendation for 3 Inch Receiver on 2020 Ford F-250
If you're going to tow anything at highway speeds for any distance, It really is important that you get the drop of the ball mount within an inch or so of level, or you'll get trailer sway which isn't super fun. I'll link to an article that shows how to measure for the correct drop ball mount. I'd recommend using Curt # C45408 hitch reducers (one to reduce the 3 inch receiver to a 2-1/2, and another to reduce the 2-1/2 to a 2 inch) along with a relatively inexpensive adjustable ball mount...

  • Can I Use the Reese Steadi-Flex # RP66560 with the Curt Shank # C17132 on My Ford F-350's 3" Hitch?
Yes, the Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control # RP66560 will work with the Curt Weight Distribution Shank # C17132 on your 2020 Ford F-350. However, in order to use the Curt shank, you will need a hitch reduced on your 3-inch hitch in order to fit the 2-1/2 shank into your receiver. For a reducer, I recommend the Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeves - 3" to 2-1/2" or 2" # C45408. The installation is easy to use and slides directly into your hitch or onto the Curt shank.

I took a look at what we have, and I was able to find the: -Gen-Y 2-Ball Mount for 2-1/2" Hitch Receivers # 325-GH-064. This ball mount will use the larger 3/4" hitch pin # 58388 that you mentioned you have, however this ball mount is designed to fit into 3" x 3" trailer hitch receivers. If your receiver opening is smaller, you can use the Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeves # C45408. This reducer sleeve will allow you to adapt the ball mount to your 2-1/2" or 2" receiver opening. Of those two hitch reducer options, the Buyers Products 3" to 2" Receiver Tube Adapter # 337RTA302 is compatible with your 2017 Ram 2500's 3 inch receiver. The Reese's pin hole is too large to match your truck's receiver. There are also other options like the B&W Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeve - 3" to 2-1/2" # BWRHXA2183 and the Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeves - 3" to 2-1/2" or 2" # C45408. If you have a 3 inch hitch on your 2020 Ford F-350 and you're using the B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount # BWTS20049B with an adapter sleeve # C45408. The best option for this is a reducer sleeve that fits inside your 3 inch receiver as opposed to an adapter that sticks out of the hitch, and for that you will need the Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeves - 3" to 2-1/2" or 2" # C45408. Both the Curt # C45048 and the Reese # RP45292 hitch extensions would require using a 3 inch to 2-1/2 inch reducer sleeve # BWRHXA2183. This would work pretty well for towing but it would allow a hitch mounted accessory like a bike rack to bounce about quite a bit which would concern me.
