The hitch is great, for its purpose. Can now fit boat in my garage. What I dislike about it is the front portion,ends up on a downwards angle (Not Level) when folded back against the trailer,Unlike my Bass Tracker trailer swing hitch which stayed straight and kevel when folded back. All I can guess is it has to much play, which allows it to hang lower than the main trailer body when folded back..Tracker trailers folding tongue,have 0 sag when folded and are level with the trailer..Not sure what kind of fold away they use. This coupler Was installed correctly. Also,the front portion has a very noticeable incline going up to the hitch when hooked to the truck while the rear portion and the rest of the trailer are level as should be..All a result of too much play in between the 2 parts..Main bolt is tightened all the way up..Who knows, maybe the incline is because there were No Bushing Provided in my shipment that are meant to be used for a buffer in between the 2 halves. Guess I'll have to spend another $xx on top of the high cost of this thing I already bought, just to get a complete unit..

I am sorry to hear this. In order for me to better assist you, I would need some pictures of where it is sagging.
Works great and allows trailer to fit in the garage. Doubles as extra security by locking hitch back against tongue. Would give 5 stars but fit was loose. Not too big of a deal but if you don’t brace across it while welding you’ll end up with a crooked, sagging tongue. Overall, good purchase and will definitely outlive the trailer.
Used this on a 3500 lb boat trailer to get it to fit in the garage. Works great. There is some play in the connection, but this is typical for any of these style foldable tongues, so not a huge negative but this is why 4 stars. Was able to weld this on to 3” tube with ease and looks great. Painted it to match.
its a gamechanger to have this installed on my boat trailer. no longer need to step over trailer tougue in garage.

I selected the weld on application for its clean appearance. The added expense of using a certified welder for the installation was well worth it, I'm very satisfied with the product and it looks as if it was factory installed. Always a pleasure dealing with etrailer and your prompt service.

Very satisfied as it saves room in my garage, great product.
I have used two of these now on my two boat trailers. They work great! Just weld in place which is easy if you have the equipment and knowledge. Worst part is painting and redoing the wire harness. Has the added benefit of making the tongue a couple inches longer too which is a good thing for me. Makes a huge difference on storage requirements of boats on trailers!! I did use one on a 2.5" tube trailer, just cut a piece of 3" square tube 1/4" wall thickness and welded in-between. Worked great. I will use again for sure when I get a new boat!
Outstanding product. Has worked perfectly once installed. Definitely a space saver, boat wouldn’t fit in garage without the hinge.
One year ago I had a friend weld the fold away coupler onto my ShoreLand'r trailer because my boat would not fit in the garage. Now I can put the boat in a secured place and leave all of my gear in it without fear of anything walking off and the convenience of not having to move things in and out all of the time. I have pulled the boat many miles since then without any issues , thanks etrailer this has been a well worth purchase.

The product worked very well for what I needed. I needed to lengthen the tongue of my trailer to get the boat deeper into the water when launching it but didn't want that to interfere with storing it in the garage. It was nice to have a chart that came along with it that gave length of tongue vs weight of boat so that you can more easily decide what length will work for your application.
Works as advertised. Good P solid on a trailer. Had an issue with the shipping. They immediately corrected it attention to detail. Customer service was excellent. That’s why I will keep coming back

I purchased this Fold- Away Coupler Hinge for my Kayak trailer project I'm getting ready to do. The quality of this is piece is very good and I received it faster than advertised. This product will allow me to extend the tongue on my trailer and it will fold out of the way when parked.

Fantastic, does exactly what I needed it to do.
Quality product, easy to install. Recommend a quality welder handle the mounting. Trailer pulls true with no movement from this swivel.

I've had the folding tongue for a year now and appreciate it more every time I need to get into my limited storage space. I got the weld on unit and it was my first significant mig welder task. I had no trouble at all. It pivots smoothly into position when needed, then tucks back out of the way when I'm done. The only issue I had with it was figuring out the proper length of safety chain ) since it has to go behind the folding portion, and how best to attach the chain so it doesn't drag. A bit of trial and error solved that, though I wish this unit came with points of attachment for the chains
I purchased folding tongue hinge a year ago. Needed it so i could close door on garage. Took to a weld shop it went on and welded togather with fram easily. I have pulled my boat many times and no problems. Make sure you install the rubber stops to limit play. Only complaint is it rust up if not painted.

I love my Fulton break away coupler. I did not buy it to save room in my garage. I bought it for a theft deterrent for my cargo trailer. I had it professionally installed and it works like a charm. Take the tongue end with me every time I unhook. Quality product and etrailer was a pleasure to do business with.
The trailer tongue hinge was as advertised and welded onto my boat trailer very easily. It has provided a means to have more space in my garage. I would highly recommend the great quality for anyone looking for a hinge on their trailer.

It was perfect. I liked the welding one better than the bolted. After attaching it and a little spray paint it looks original.
