AquaShed Cover Installed

You're worried about your horse trailer getting wet and dirty in storage before you need to transport your horses again. Whether you're storing your trailer in the rainy northwest, snowy north, or humid south, this weather-resistant cover is designed for use in extremely wet climates so your trailer will be protected. When you keep your trailer covered, you are less likely to need to wash and wax it in between trips. And if you want to trade your trailer in for a newer model later down the road, this cover will help maintain that resale value.

Adco AquaShed Material

The 3-ply SFS AquaShed top panel reduces moisture buildup that can damage your trailer over time. It also beads water when it rains to stop it from pooling or freezing, which eliminate the black streaks and corrosion you tend to see on the sides and roof of your trailer. And when the rain stops, the fabric dries quickly to minimize the development of mold and mildew. The top panel blocks the roof of your trailer from mild sunlight as well, protecting the cover from cracking and fading.

How to Measure Your Horse Trailer

Measuring a Horse Trailer

To determine if this cover will work for you, measure the overall length of your trailer from the very front to the rear bumper, making sure you're accounting for any gear on the back. The cover isn't meant to fit over the kingpin of your trailer, so don't include it in your measurements. Then measure the overall height from the bottom of the trailer to the top. Do not include any AC units, vents, or antennas in your height measurement, as the cover is already designed to accommodate them.

Securing the Cover onto Your Trailer

Adco AquaShed Straps

First unroll the cover and carefully spread it evenly around your trailer, making sure you don't pull too hard and tear the fabric. The cover is labeled with "front" and "rear" to help you position the cover correctly on your RV.

Once the cover is in place, wrap the elasticized hem on the cover around the bottom corners of your trailer to remove any excess slack in the material. Attach the included cinch rope and pull on them until the cover fits snugly around the contours of your trailer. And then toss the weighted straps underneath your trailer to the other side and buckle them together, which keeps the cover secure and prevents it from flapping in the wind and damaging the paint job.

Adco AquaShed Zippered Access Door

And if you need to grab supplies, you can use the zippered panel on the passenger's side to easily access the interior of your horse trailer without having to completely remove the cover. You can also unzip the entire panel on the back of the trailer so you can open the tack door and load and unload gear.

I love this cover! It is ample sized, fits my trailer well, is light weight enough for me to put on and take off of the trailer all by myself. It protects my trailer from the sun and snow. I really like the side zippers so I can get into the trailer without taking the cover off. The grey color also makes the trailer much less noticeable parked out with the other trailers.

Unfortunately the back right side ripped out from the top corner and I can’t use it anymore. It was my fault, I had to clear the ice and snow off to haul a horse last March and the ice froze it to the top of the trailer. I didn’t realize this and pulled hard on the cover and it tore down the whole right side. I’m so sad.

@Carol We're sorry to hear that!

You can figure on getting 18 months max out of one of these covers. Not great on longevity. Mine has been on one year today and has developed holes at the rub points (roof lights, etc)By spring it will need replacement.

by:

Like this cover, fit is good over a Sundowner trailer, good protection from sun and rain.

I have had the cover for about a year and three months now and am a little disappointed with it, there seems to be no UV coating on any parts. The exposed plastic pieces are becoming sun rotted and brittle, the zippers do not operate smoothly as they have became sun rotted, the fabric has started to tear in several places now. In conclusion this would be a good cover for inside storage but may not last very long outside.

by:

I bought this cover about a year ago. This cover is sized and fit well, Had it on my trailer for about 5 months, it began disintegrating on the top. The side material held up a little better. But by the end of month 5 it completely fell apart. I live in southern Arizona and this cover does not do well in the sun.

Thanks for the review! I just wanted to remind you that this cover comes with a two year warranty. I have sent that information along to you.

I have mesquite trees everywhere so they drop a lot of sap on my horse trailer so this cover keeps it much cleaner!! Thank goodness it’s aluminum because it definitely would take the paint off if it were painted!! Thank you for having good quality items!!

by:

This seems fairly substancial of course won't know how it will last till we get thru winter. It is fairly easy to install. I am short, elderly and not too strong. I only have a 24ft trailer if it had been longer I would not have been able to get all the fabric up by myself. I had watched a video on line. It was suppose to have a storage bag with instructions which I did not find. It is possible it was lost in all the fabric and I will find when I take it off? I had to get on the roof but two people may be able do it with ladders. But pretty easy to figure out unless I missed something by not having instructions. It came very quickly and etrailer had good price.

by:

The trailer cover is exactly what I wanted. Thank you

by:

Easy to install. Connection straps are seemingly well placed and tie down points are reinforced.

by:

Excellent customer service - above and beyond what I expected! Great service. Immediate shipping!

Without a doubt the best cover I've found for my e-Pro f19 travel trailer. It fits like a custom cover and the price was extremely reasonable. Best features: Four snug-fit corners (just like bed sheets); at least seven (?) tightening straps underneath the unit which means you can safely tighten and secure against brisk winds; two flaps/straps across both the front and back of trailer, again securing against wind. And the smallest pieces are my favorite ... two weighted straps that help you toss each of the straps underneath to the other side! Brilliant! You will see a "bump" along the back end of the RV and that's where the ladder is covered. The roof covering fits well but with enough room to accommodate the ladder, a/c, bathroom vent, and antennae. I've told my camping friend about this cover and this web site. I check here first when I need anything for my RV. Thank you!

by:

Very disappointed. I ordered (and paid $XXX.XX) for a NEW Adco SFS AquaShed RV Cover (Item#290-52239) but received one that was obviously used. The box had been opened numerous times and the contents were in disarray. The product had even been returned before as the return authorization mail sent to the last customer was inside the box. I've included pictures of what I received and its condition. You've sold this cover before...

Sad.

by:

After the money we spent on your trailer cover, thought it would if lasted longer than one year? Disappointed to say the least, learn from experience we guess.

by:

Real easy to put on trailer. The cover does a great job of keeping debris off the camper and looks brand new still after 1 full year.

by:

Very well made easy to put on the truck. Fits great on my GMC Sierra 2500hd crew cab .

by:

We ordered this cover awhile back and just put in on our Motorhome
for the winter. It was quite easy to put on and it looks like it good quality
and hope it does its job. We will know in the spring.

by:

After one year it has not held up at all. It falls apart in your hands. There are many holes from the wind and the sun has made it dry rotted. We were able to take it on and off twice and there would be one way to put it back on for a third time without it all just falling apart. To be fair we do live in the panhandle of Florida and do get a lot of sun and rain. We even put pool noodles around the rain gutters to try and prevent it cutting through the camper cover material, but after a while that’s exactly where the rips started from.

by:

I've had my trailer cover for over a year now. Put it on the trailer for the second time in November, 2022. I noticed a couple of wear spots last spring when I took it off the trailer, and again didn't do anything about it until putting it back on the trailer. I bought some waterproof tape just to cover those spots. I love the way it fits my trailer, covering even the front hitch area. Very pleased with this purchase.

by:

Just installed it a few days ago as we are leaving our popup in NC for a month. Easy install, good fit, and good straps. The extra tiedowns on the corners make it very secure. I may update review once used for a while.

by:

In the beginning, I was excited about the purchase. I knew the cover would keep my new trailer protected from the sun, etc. However, less than 3 months ago I noticed the material started to shed and become thinner on the roof. 2 months ago I noticed a small tear in front near the roof (no sharp edges there). Unfortunately the tear just got bigger and more disintegration of the roof. We took it off in preparing for the hurricane that came and in that process more of it just fell apart.
I am disappointed that the product only lasted a year. Now I need to figure out what to do to get a replacement. I prefer not to buy from your company knowing that the cover might only last a year.

by:

My second purchase as the first, although 3 times as expensive and from a popular company, just didn't fit (sized in 3 or 4 foot increments). This cover from AuquaShed fit great and looks great. The material is somewhat easily damaged on sharp edges so extra care is needed to cover corners and trim edges.

by:

Initially I was very satisfied with the cover. After 1 year there were some tears from the material flapping against the trailer body on the bottom edges. The 2 year anniversary just passed earlier this month (Oct 2023). This past weekend (Oct 22 2023) we had some mild winds, 15 - 20 mph. I noticed a tear had opened over the air vent (white plastic cover) in the dressing room area of the trailer. Later that morning, the entire cover roof ripped apart. See attached photos. I discovered that the trailer cover only has a two year warranty. I will start to look for another trailer cover manufacturer who uses better materials. Very disappointing.

by:

I love this cover easy to install and remove. It did rip on the first install and I do wish it was a little more robust. It keeps the water out durning rain and let's the trailer breathe. I do wish the cover had labels letting you know which end is front and which ends is rear. Only time will tell how long the cover will last with 3 rips in the Mojave desert wind.

  • How to Choose the Correct Cover for a Gooseneck Horse Trailer
When selecting the correct storage cover for your gooseneck horse trailer you will need to measure from the longest two points on the trailer (see photo) for the length. This will be the most important measurement you need but the width (excluding fenders) and height (excluding ground clearance) will also be needed. The below covers will all accommodate trailers up to 80" wide (box) and 94" high (exclude ground clearance). 24-1/2' Long - part # 290-46011 28-1/2' Long - part # 290-46012 31-1/2'...

  • Recommended Cover for a Silverlite Gooseneck Horse Trailer
The Adco SFS AquaShed Cover for Gooseneck Horse Trailers part # 290-46011 for up to 24-1/2' or 295" long or part # 290-46012 for up to 28-1/2' or 342" long is what I recommend for a Silverlite Gooseneck Horse Trailer. In order to choose the correct one, you'll need to measure from the nose to the bumper. The height and weight measurements are not as important as these covers are usually oversized in these areas to allow for a wider range of fits. The height of the air conditioner and antenna...

The Adco SFS AquaShed Cover for Gooseneck Horse Trailer - 24-1/2' Long # 290-46011 does not cover the gooseneck coupler completely. The cover will wrap around the top of the coupler, but the bottom of the coupler will be exposed. I've attached a photo to assist.

  • Cover for 28 Foot Gooseneck Horse Trailer
Thanks for the picture! The 6" of extra cover is going to make installing it extremely difficult if you go with the 28 1/2' cover. I recommend going with the Adco SFS AquaShed Cover for Gooseneck Horse Trailer - Up to 31-1/2' Long - Gray item # 290-46013 to give yourself some extra material. It secures with cinch ropes and straps with buckles so the extra material will be tightened down. This should also allow you to completely cover the coupler.
