Tpday, we're going to be taking a look at part number YR800B. This is the Yates Blue Keel Roller for boat trailers. It's designed to replace one keel roller on your trailer. It's going to ease the loading and unloading of your boat. It's going to support the bottom of the boat as it sits on the trailer. It's going to help absorb road shock while the boat is being towed during travel.
This is constructed TPR technology, that's thermal plasticized rubber. That's a non-marking, non-scratching material, stronger and more durable than your traditional rubber and it's going to be softer and more pliant than polyurethane. The product is made in the USA. Take a look at the dimensions real quick starting with the length. That's going to give us a measurement of about 7 3/4 inch and then the diameter measuring this point right here from edge to edge, that's going to give us a measurement, looks to be about 3 1/8 inch in diameter. This is designed for 8-inch wide brackets with a 5/8 inch diameter shaft.
That's going to do it for today's look at part number YR800B.

I will send pictures of the boat trailer once I finish installing all the parts, I am working on a 15' center console boat for my 9 year old grandson that I need to complete before the school year is out. The Yates keel roller mounted and looks great but my main reason for taking time to write this review was the customer service I received from Michelle S. I made a mistake on my internet order. I called the next day when I reviewed the order confirmation and realized my mistake. Michelle stopped the first order, revised my parts list and I received the parts in 3 days. I will go back to etrailer with my next order.

- Shaft and Pal Nuts to Mount Yates Rubber 8 Inch Keel Roller YR800BIf you already have a shaft and other hardware for keel roller # YR800B then you do not have to replace them unless they are damaged or corroded. You will want the shaft to run the entire length of the roller for support. A bolt would only work if it was the entire length of the roller and then it would basically be a shaft. - Is There a Difference Between Blue and Yellow Yates Keel Rollers Both the blue/purple 8 inch keel rollers like part # YR800B and the yellow part # YR800Y are essentially the same thing just different colors. These are non-marking style rollers which is the way to go as the black ones will leave marks.
