Endcaps easily install on the same brackets that your keel, spool or bow rollers are mounted to. Just attach each endcap to the shaft on the outside of the roller bracket, and then secure the endcap in place with a cap nut (or pal nut). Not only do the endcaps provide more surface area for better boat-to-trailer contact, but they also help to keep your boat from being scratched by sharp bracket edges.

Today we're going to review part no. YR135-5Y. This is a Yates endcap for boat trailer rollers. This endcap will mount to a keel roller, a spool roller or bow roller on your boat trailer for improved boat-to-roller contact and it will also provide extra support and guiding capabilities. This part is constructed of TPR material which is thermoplastic rubber material. It is a non-marking, non-scratching material.
It is stronger and more durable than your traditional rubber material and it is softer and more pliable than the polyurethane material. This part is made in the USA. This endcap will install on the same brackets that your keel, spool or bow rollers are mouted to. You just attach each endcap to the shaft on the outside of the roller bracket and then secure the endcap in place with a cap nut or a pal nut. This endcap wil provide more surface area for better boat-to-trailer contact and will help keep your boat from being scratched by the sharp bracket edges.
We're going to do a few dimensions on this endcap. The overall diameter is 3 1/8 inches and the width will be 1 inch and this end cap will mount to a keel, a spool or a bow roller that uses a 5/8-inch diameter shaft. And that will do it for part no. YR135-5Y.

These add-on rollers can really save you some money in the long run if you ever run into a situation of loading your boat on a strong current and the boat twist and travels incorrectly onto the trailer. I have seen that more than once, and the boat ends up being scraped up because it ends up on the outside of the roller bracket. These little rollers mounted on end of the outside of the roller bracket prevents any damage to the hull and a sense of security if you ever come across that situation happening to you that your hull is protected. Well worth every cent in my book.
I’ll start be giving a huge AWESOME JOB TO THE STAFF, for the great service. I ordered the Yates keel and bow rollers to replace all the old black rubber on a stainless steel Boston Whaler trailer that I built for a friend about 18 years ago. The local suppliers didn’t have everything I needed in one place. So I checked online and found etrailer.com and ordered keel rollers, end caps, bow roller with bell ends. Confirmed the order about 3-4 in the morning Hawaii time and learned the order was shipped less that five hours latter. And the box was sitting outside my door two days later. Boat trailer end rollers. Exactly what I was looking for. These eliminated the black marks left when my boat did not hit the front roller correctly. Good quality, reasonable price, quick delivery.
