I have only used them a few times but they're solid. Same quality as the ones that came with the Thule Dockglide racks.

by:

Have owned these ratchet straps in the past. Purchased another set for another vehicle. These are fabulous.

Thank you etrailer for another great transaction and customer service.

by:

I just received my ratcheting Kayak tie towns to replace my old friction-based setup. They arrived very quickly and for the best price online.
Having borrowed a friend's tie-downs in the past, I decided it was time for my own. I'm happy to report that they are very well made and a cinch to assemble using the provided diagram.
To use, just attach the hook to your car's underside tow loop or other sturdy location. Then pass the provided nylon web loop through your kayak's locking U-bolt (or carry toggle), and join both ends to the provided carabiner. Draw the rope tight and tie off the remaining length and you're good to go!
It's actually faster than reading this review!

pretty good ratchet. My only complain is that the clip (part connected to the black case) is small. So if you try to clip it onto a larger clip, its does not make a very big opening. Anyways, good part. Very solid construction, metal. Mine has taken a serious beating and still going strong. Rope very good quality. Does not fray.

Ratchet very good, several trips, rope stuck under front tire, did not break ratchet. Solid

by:

everything was perfect as usual.

by:

Needed to replace Thule tie downs prior to a Kayaking trip, as those I have had for many years were in bad shape. Several others I paddle with had same situation so I bought several sets. fast delivery was important and etrailer got them to me fast.
Thule products are high quality, nothing more to be said!

by:

The tallest a very well with no swag. It's easy to load and unload. It folds up and stores very well as well.

by:

Good quality product. My only recommendation would be to add about 1 ft of a rubber covering at the bottom of the ropes, near the hook. This would ensure that bumpers do not fray or sever the rope when the load is strapped down.

by:

The service was excellent. My interaction with your team was accurate, friendly and professional. Given COVID-impacted potential in order processing, Christina tracked my order and followed up in a professional, accurate and friendly manor.

I have received my product and look forward to making good use of it, for years to come. I would not hesitate to order from your service again.

by:

These ropes work great and are so easy to use. I had one set for my canoe and ordered these for the kayak. We'll bring both boats on our vacation. The ordering and help from etrailer went smoothly.

by:

Great to work with. I was away from home and wanted my order delivered to the address I was at.
I failed to enter the correct address when I placed the order. On the day of delivery I phoned Etrailer to let them know of my mistake. They notified UPS for me and I received the package that afternoon.
The product was exactly what I was looking for.

by:

This was my 3rd order from etrailer this month. The videos were extremely helpful and all the Thule products arroived when I was told they would and were exactly as described. I have been very impressed with they customer service and their follow up process post-order to make sure you are happy. Will definitely order from them again!

by:

Fast service and product was exactly as described.Would recommend doing business with trailer. Thanks

by:

Exactly what I ordered. Thank you!

by:

Can never have too many tie down straps.

by:

Works great every time! Makes tie downs quick and easy.

by:

Both products arrived as advertised. Minor damage to the product box inside outer box but product not damaged.

by:

Etrailer is awesome
Every time I order
something it arrives so fast I can't believe it
Thank you

by:

Does what it is intended to do
Much
easier than a self rig for sure!

by:

Thule stuff just plain seems to be well made. These arrived quickly and are just what we needed.

by:

These worked great.

  • Will Thule Stacker Fit 2008 Toyota Highlander with Factory Crossbars to Carry 3 Kayaks
Yes, the Thule Stacker part # TH830 is a confirmed fit for the factory crossbars of your 2008 Toyota Highlander and would be a great option for carrying your 3 kayaks. Additional straps will be needed as this only comes with enough straps for two kayaks. So you'd also want the Thule Quick Draw Tie-Down Ropes # TH855XT to go with it.

  • Can Rhino Rack Heavy Duty Roof Rack Be Used For Carrying Ladder on 2007 Toyota Camry
The Rhino Rack rack system can be used to carry ladders, as long as the weight of the ladder does not exceed the 165 lb capacity of the rack or the capacity of the vehicle roof, whichever is lower. You will need to consult your owners manual or Toyota for the capacity of the roof. Rhino Rack does indeed highly recommend that any loads extending beyond the front or rear edge of the roof be secured to the front and rear bumper of the vehicle for the sake of safety. Tie downs that are designed...

  • Will Lockrack Adjustable Surf Ski Carrier 339-LRSSKISETX Mount in T-Slot on Thule Aero Crossbars
Yes, you can use the Lockrack Adjustable Surf Ski Carrier # 339-LRSSKISETX on your Thule Roof rack with AeroBlade Edge or WingBar Evo aero-style crossbars that have a top slot for accessories. The Lockrack carrier includes the T-bolt hardware you'll use to install it on your Thule rack. The Lockrack also comes with wrap-round clamp type mounting hardware for other roof rack bars. If you need some tie-downs you can use Thule Quick Draw Tie-Down Ropes w/ Ratchets and Strap Loops - 13' -...

  • WIll Lockrack Watersport Carrier Carry My Canoe
Yes this will be a large load on your 2018 Jeep Compass but the Lockrack Adjustable Watersport Carrier # 339-LRUNISETX and your Thule Aeroblade Roof Rack # TH7601-TH7602, # THKIT3164. From what I could information I could find on your Rogue River 14, is that it is 37" wide and 89 lb. That falls under the max width of 47-1/2" and max weight of 175 lb. This is a really good way to transport your canoe because of the wrap around design of the arms but I would still pick up a set of bow and...

  • Are Additional Tie-Downs Needed For the Thule Stacker Part TH830
The Thule Stacker part # TH830 can be used to hold up to four kayaks if you have space for this. It comes with tie down needed for one kayak. Therefore, if you have two kayaks then you would also need the Thule Quick Draw Tie-Down Ropes part # TH855XT and the Thule Load Strap Cinch Straps part # TH523. If you want to save some money you can use a different brand for the tie-downs, the Malone Bow and Stern Tie-Down Kit part # MPG306 and the Malone Cam Buckle Load Straps with Buckle Protectors...

  • Carrying Kayaks With Thule Stacker on 2014 Toyota 4Runner
Yes, the Thule The Stacker - Rooftop Multi-Kayak Carrier # TH830 you referenced will fit your 2014 Toyota 4Runner SR5; you just need to make sure that there is at least 24" between the crossbars, because that's the minimum spread for the Stacker. It's compatible with several Thule cross bars and most factory roof racks. For padding for the kayaks I recommend the Malone Rack Pads for Crossbars # MPG314. They wrap around the cross bars and protect your kayaks, or whatever else you have...

  • Kayak Carrier With Load Assist for Toyota Sienna
Yes the Yakima ShowDown Kayak Carrier # Y04081 needs a minimum of 3-1/2" but no more than 4" of overhang from the support tower. This is sometimes hard to achieve with roof racks. An alternative is the Lockrack Watersport Carrier # LR54FR. This is a really easy to use saddle style carrier. Removing one of the arms allows for you to slide your kayak into place. When both arms are in place it reduces the need for straps. It is not required but I highly recommend using a bow and stern strap...

  • Which Roof Rack and Multi-Kayak Carrier can be Used With a 2012 Mazda 3 Hatchback?
We can get you set up to transport a pair of 10-foot kayaks on your 2012 Mazda 3 hatchback. For a roof rack, I recommend going with the Yakima; it has aero crossbars, # Y00425, which are used in conjunction with the Landing Pad # Y00233 and Skyline Towers # Y53TR that install onto fixed mounting points on your Mazda's roof. To transport your 10-foot kayaks on the Rhino Rack, you can use the Thule The Stacker # TH830. It mounts directly onto the crossbars and utilizes a combination of...

  • How to Transport 4 Kayaks on 2018 GMC Sierra Short Bed with Tonneau Cover
I do have a way for you to transport your 4 kayaks with your 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 but unfortunately you won't be able to add crossbars or a ladder rack system to the truck bed with the tonneau cover installed. Any truck bed crossbar system will require mounting space either on the inside of the rails or on top of them and it looks like your cover would interfere with either of these designs. Because of this your only option (if you want to keep the tonneau cover) is to go with a roof...

  • Recommendations for Transporting my Kayak with the VX01
You can secure a kayak using this basket but you will need to make sure it stays put on the rack by using the Rhino-Rack Cam Buckle Cinch Straps # RTD3 and Thule Quick Draw Tie-Down Ropes w/ Ratchets and Strap Loops # TH855XT to secure it to your vehicle. If your concerned about scratching your Kayak I recommend the Rightline Gear Kit # RL100K10 that includes foam pads to protect your kayak and roof basket.

  • Is there a Wider Roof Rack Crossbar Spread for a 2017 Subaru Outback
I checked with Yakima and when using the SkyLine towers # Y53TR the bar spread can be as much as 30-1/2 inches on center. In addition to the towers you will also need Landing Pad 15, # Y00241, and bars # Y00425. The length of your item at 78 inches is not going to be a problem provided that you have it properly secured to the vehicle. There are cargo boxes listed as a fit with this roof rack installed that are even longer than 78 inches. I don't know what it is you want to carry but...

I do believe that you are correct in that your canoe may be too wide for the single rubber piece on the Lockrack Watersport Carrier # 339LR65LASET. Thankfully Lockrack has their Adjustable Watersport Carrier Lockrack Adjustable XL Watersport Carrier - Canoe, Kayak, or 2 SUPs - Side Loading - Universal Mount Item # LR54FR which comes with universal mounting options (both brackets and T-Bolts) so this carrier will definitely work with your Old Town Saranac 154 Square stern canoe. • Can the Thule Stacker Kayak Carrier be Used to Carry 2 Kayaks and a Paddleboard
The Thule Stacker kayak carrier # TH830 can support up to 4 kayaks, it isn't really made for paddleboards but I can't see why it wouldn't work as long as everything is secured at the bows and sterns using the included straps and additional straps # TH855XT. I have a couple solutions for you but the Thule Hullavator # TH898 will not work with your factory roof rack on your 2012 Hyundai Sante Fe. The carrier requires 4"-8" of crossbar overhang from the support tower. This is to provide enough clearance for the lift assist to clear the side of your 2012 Hyundai Sante Fe. This system includes basic tie downs for the front and back of the kayak. I would recommend adding attachment points like the Thule Hood Loops, # TH529 to secure the front and rear tie downs.
