Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the smart plug repair kit. This is going to repair your smart plug 30 amp female connector. So whether you are needing the whole female side replaced or if you are just needing to repair or replace a few individual parts. This kit is going to be really a great option for you because it is a smart plug product.
You can trust it's all going to work together seamlessly just like the original did. This will work with all smart plug 30 amp female connectors. So any of those will work. This will work to repair or replace any of those components. So you can see this is going to include the smart plug face with the attached clamp arms.
It will also include your rubber cord gasket and the conical installation tool to make the wiring this much easier for you. It does also include a hex key, dish soap, to give you a little bit of lubrication to get your cord through there. All your hardware and a face seal gasket is going to all be included here so that you can get this installed and or replace any of those components that have become lost or damaged for you. This is also going to include very detailed instructions for you to get this all installed. So all those pictures walk you step by step with all the texts there so that you can know exactly what you're doing as you're getting this all installed.
You will have to cut off the original female end and you will reuse the plug body. The plug face will slide right into that body just like the original slides out of it. And so once you get that cutoff you will lose a little bit of your cord links but not so much that it will be a significant difference for you and just enough to get those wires exposed so that you can get them plugged in onto the back there and tighten them with that hex key. Overall, really great option to ensure that you don't have to buy a whole new cord. This is just going to replace those components that have been damaged or lost so that your cord is operational again for you.
