Hey Guys, is Collin here at etrailer. Today we're going to take a quick look at the eye bolt kit for the pioneer platform rack from Rhino-Rack. This eye bolt kit is going to mount in the t-track of your pioneer platform and provide you with a tied on point to secure your cargo. It has a very thick galvanized steel construction so it's going to be very durable and it's going to hold up great to rust and corrosion. Now with our eye bolt kit, we are using the Rhino-Rack cam buckle straps, which are available here at etrailer, either separately or as a kit with the eye bolt.Now you don't have to necessarily use these straps if you have your own those will work as well. Now in your kit you are going to get four eye bolts.
We have two of them right here and these are going to be very versatile. You can adjust them wherever on the platform rack that is going to best be able to secure your cargo. Now I'll just show you how it works real quick. We'll just loosen it like so, and again slide it in the track. If we need to adjust it between the slots, we'll just pull it all the way back.
Bring it outside of the track, just place it in the next one over, slide it wherever we need it.You're going to get all the hardware included with your kit. We're going to have some washers in the front and we do have the plate with the threads inside. That's going to help secure it to the platform rack. Now the order you go is the small lock washer and we'll go the big flat washer and the smaller flat washer. Now we'll just thread on that plate just slightly.
Now we can set it into the track and slide it over. When you're tightening it down, all you gotta do is go by hand all the way. Get it as tight as you can with your hands.If you aren't comfortable with how tight you get it with your hands, you can just grab a screwdriver, anything like that. You just apply it in there from more leverage. Just give it a quarter turn and that's going to be secure.
Now while these are going to make great and sturdy tied on points, they aren't going to be permanent. So if you do need to remove them because you either need the flat surface of your pioneer rack or if you just want to remove them when it's not in use, you can do that very easily. Just take them out of the track and stow them in your vehicle. Well, thank you all for watching. That's going to do for our look at the eye bolt kit for the Rhino-Rack pioneer platform rack.

Not sure why at least the bigger washer that goes above the surface of the platform, and is therefore visible, is not black like everything else, but to be fair it is not advertised that way. The washers do corrode a little and leave some residue on top of the platform, but it is easily removable (at least so far).
They are super beefy, but were too big to fit in the t-slot track on the RetraxPRO XR tonneau cover
This item has proven itself time and time again. The eyebolts configure to my rhino rack however I need to configure them with ease. If You have a Rhino Rack these hold downs are all you need. Thanks etrailer for the recomendation and support.

Seemed a little expensive and like something that I could find a work-around for, but these are nice tough little eyelets. Combined with the Pioneer Platform, they are very flexible and easy to move in regards to their mounting location, which will make them very useful.

These do NOT fit into a rhino rack roof track. No hard feelings, I just thought/hoped they would fit differently than they do. They seem like quality parts and very heavy duty. The black coating looks great.
I love the rhino rack that I put on my 2007 Tundra. It was pretty easy to install; just take your time so that you get it on straight. I've loaded paddle boards, ladders, bicycles and many other things on there with no problems.
Love theses. Great quality. Appear stronger than my Rhino platform they attach too. Easy to put in platform track and tighten in desired position. Highly recommended. Purchase one set. Saw how well the work and purchased a second set. Seemed a little pricy at first but when I saw the quality I was pleased

Very heavy duty I Bolts. Somewhat of an overkill for the Rhino Rack. However I did find them useful on my last overland trip.
etrailer rocks... there are ACTUAL HUMANS that actually take care of you!! The delivery time was SHORT!!! Thank you. The RhinoRack ladder is NOT cheap... but it is perfect. It is sturdy and it folds easily. It is perfect for loading the pioneer platform. It will be used for many years, and it will come in handy. Thanks!
The eye bolt kit makes it easy to secure multiple items to the rack with ease. Loads stay secure over the roughest terrain. Great pricing, service and fast shipping from etrailer makes it even better. Certainly not the last time I'll be ordering from etrailer.

They are as advertised ..... M10 eye bolts, washers, and channel nuts. What else is there to say.
The rings are heavy and I think they will hold up well

The eye bolts are working as expected even after a year of use.
I have ordered various products from Etrailer in the last couple of months and I have nothing but good to say about this company. Their customer services people were helpful with my buying decisions and didn't string me along or tell me a bunch of BS. Etrailer's prices are very competitive and all orders were delivered quickly.
Exactly what you would expect. All hardware was included, but there were no instructions. You really shouldn't need them for tis basic accessory.
Very well made rack, accessories perform perfectly.
Got this for my pioneer platform. Exceeded my expectations on quality. Would highly recommend these. My platform would fail before these eyebolts would

Thank you for your review. These eye bolts are designed to install into the track of the pioneer platforms. If you have a Rhino Rack roof rack, you will need part S604.
