Note: Winch straps should always be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The item being towed must not exceed the WLL of the strap being used. To determine the maximum load, or break strength, of the tow strap, simply multiply the WLL by 3. The WLL is always one-third (1/3) of the maximum load.

Today we're going to review part number IMF14212. This is the BoatBuckle Boat Winch Strap with Hook and Safety Latch with a loop end. This BoatBuckle winch strap will help get your boat in and out of the water in a breeze. Features a breaking strength of 5,000 pounds. Has a forged Zinc-plated steel snap hook, which attaches to your boats bow. This heavy-duty strap will work with a winch, which will enable you to safely load and unload your boat from your trailer.
On the snap hook there is a built-in keeper, which is this part right here. That will prevent the hook from disconnecting from your boat. On the other end of this strap, is a loop end. You can see right through there, what that is for is you ran your bolt in through this and that will attach it to the drum of your winch. The bolt and nut for attaching this is not included.
The dimensions on this strap will be: The width on it is 3-inches wide, the length is 20 feet long. It does have a maximum load strength or breaking strength of 5,000 pounds. The safe working load limit which will be 1/3 of the breaking strength is 1,667 pounds. A winchstrap should always be chosen according to the safe working load limit, so the item being towed must not exceed the working load limit of the strap being used. Again, the working load limit will always be 1/3 of the maximum load strength or breaking strength.
This part does contain one winchstrap and it does come with a one year limited warranty. That should do it for part number IMF14212.

I had a hard time finding a 3" wide boat winch strap. 2" was all over the place but no 3" straps anywhere. I found this company had them when doing a goggle search that didn't turn up anything last time when I tried a couple years ago. Any ways I ordered it on Friday night and it arrived on Thursday in time to bring it up for our fishing opener. I used it for a contraption I built to hook to the dock and raise and lower as water levels change. Thanks

I rarely tow my boat so I dont think Ive used the strap more than once in a year. But when I have to put it on the trailer - I must have a reliable winch strap. The one that came on the trailer was 10 years old, and although not worn out, I felt a new one would be more reliable. So, ... so far - so good!When I need parts in the future I will use etrailer again.
