Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Ram 2500, you're going to be taking a look at, I'm gonna show you how to install the Airlift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs with internal jounce bumpers for the rear axle, part number AL88289. This is what our air bags look like when they're installed. It's gonna be a hybrid spring style system, which means that it's gonna provide you with not only an adjustable air bag, but it's gonna have a built-in internal jounce stopper. The internal jounce stop is gonna prevent the vehicle from bottoming out when the bags are at a lower air level.What's nice about these bags is they can be inflated and deflated independently, to adjust for any off center loads you may have in the back of the vehicle. They can be adjusted anywhere from 5 to 100 PSI. They're gonna have a 5,000 pound load carrying capacity, or weight carrying capacity. more

Speaker 1: Today, on our 2015 Ram 2500, we're going to be taking a look at the best suspension upgrades for the rear axle.Now, the three best options we have, in no real particular order, are going to be our Timbren, and this is part number TDR2500D. Here, we've got a Firestone Air Bag, part number F-2580, and an Airlift Air Bag. Part number on that is AL-88289.Now, the need for rear suspension upgrades comes when you're going to be hauling, whether it's a trailer, or in-bed camper, you're doing landscaping, whatever the situation is. The one thing you really need to keep in mind: regardless of the rear suspension enhancement that you do, you're not upgrading the capacity of your current vehicle. Whatever the truck's rated for is what it's rated for. These are designed to help us more safely carry those.Now, the main difference we have in the two different styles, whether it's an air bag, or a jounce bumper replacement, like what we have here, is that, with your Timbren style, there isn't really any adjustment that you can make. more

The part number is AL57280. Here's what our airbags look like installed. As you can see they've completely replaced that factory jounce bumper. This is going to give us a lot more support back here on the rear end. It's also going to soften it up so when we do have a heavy load on, that jounce bumper isn't constantly hitting the axle. more

Firestone Ride-Rite Rear Air Helper Springs Installation - 2015 Ram 2500- Video

Today on this 2015 Ram 2500, we're going to be installing the Firestone ride right air helper springs, part number F2580. These air helper springs will help with taming the load in the rear of your truck by keeping it more level and reducing the strain caused by heavy loads such as campers, construction equipment, or heavy tools. The simple instructions help make them easier to install. The bags themselves have adjustable air pressure settings from 5 to 100 PSI. These will not increase your weight carrying capacity so you want to be sure to double check your manufacturer's weight limit. Before we start our installation, let's get a measurement to see how high the rear of our truck sits unloaded. It's about 43 and a quarter inches. Let's also get a measurement to see where the front sits. more
