Best 2010 Ford F-150 Suspension Enhancement Options

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best suspension enhancements for your 2010 Ford F-150, F-250, and F-350. Here we're going to have a leaf spring-style helper spring, followed by our air bag helper springs. Then over here we're going to have a jounce-style helper spring. This is going to be our lower overload helper spring. Then finally on the end, this is going to be our upper overload helper springs. Now each one of our types of suspension enhancements are going to do the same thing. When we're carrying a heavy load or hauling a heavy trailer, they're going to prevent the back end of our truck from sagging, causing more strain on our suspension, as well as lifting up the front end, creating less contact for our tires and not a safe driving condition. more

Air Lift Ride Control Air Helper Springs Installation - 2010 Ford F-150

Today on our 2010 Ford F150 Super Cab, 2-wheel drive, we'll be installing the Air Lift Ride Control Helper Springs for the rear axle, part number AL59568. For video purposes we'll only be showing the driver's side and you will repeat the same process for over on the passenger's side. Everything that we do on the driver's side, again, will be repeated for the passenger's side. With the spare tire out of the way we're going to go ahead and start here on the driver's side. First we need to go ahead and remove the stock Jounce Bump Stop that is located here on the frame. As you can see here, on our Stop there are two alignment pins that will need to be cut off before we can re-install it. more

Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System Installation - 2010 Ford F-150- Video

Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System Installation - 2010 Ford F-150

Today on our 2010 Ford F-150 Super-crew, we'll be installing the Timbren rear suspension enhancement system, part number TFR1504D. To begin with, you'll need to raise the vehicle off the ground, so that the rear axle is hanging freely. Once this done, you'll need to go ahead and remove the existing bump stop, using a 13mm socket. The bolt is up inside the center of the bump stop. Once you have each of the bump stops removed from each side, we'll first go ahead and install each of the brackets, on each side of the frame, keeping in mind that they are marked right and left, or in this case there's a left sticker on one of the 2 brackets. You'll want the 2 prongs to go to the inward side of the vehicle's frame. When we install these, we use the lock washer supplied with the kit, as well as the shortest of the 3 bolts. We'll go ahead and tighten them down. Now you will see inside the new bump stops, there's already a flat washer, as you will need to make sure that thread the bolt through the flat washer and through the opening on the other side of the bump stop. With this done, we can ahead and thread it into the bottom of the new bracket that we just installed. more

Now, we need to go ahead and remove the rear jounce bumper. There is a bolt up through the center of the bumper that attaches it to the frame. Next, we're going to do some assembly. more
