AirLift 1000 Helper Springs Installation - 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan

Today on our 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan, we'll be having a look at and installing the Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs for the rear. Part number AL60814. The reason you'll want to have an Air Lift system like this is if you have a vehicle where you're towing a trailer with a heavy tongue weight, or have a lot of cargo loaded in the back of it quite frequently. This will help support the rear of the vehicle to help prevent it from sagging, so you can drive down the road with the vehicle riding more like factory, and you won't have to compromise your suspension, your tires, or your handling. You'll have it riding level, but you'll still have your handling, your braking, and your tire wear will be just like normal. Let's have a closer look at what our Air Lift here comes with. We have our two air bags here. We have our section of black rubber hose here for the air line. more

Suspension Enhancement System Installation - 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan

Today on this 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan we are going to install the Timbren Suspension Enhancement system part number TDVRRT. For clarity we already took off our tire and wheel and you see all suspension components right here. What is going to happen is that Timbren component is going to actually replace this part right here and to replace that part what is going to happen is you are going to have to lower the axle itself, this whole assembly, down a little bit so you can get the spring out. How we are going to do that is we are going to first take off this bolt for shock mount and let the whole axle assembly come down. Then also we are going to undo this brake line here and the bracket underneath of it so it has plenty of room to come down and not stress the brake lines. 00:39 more
