Hi there, Subaru owners. Today in your 2016 Subaru Crosstrek, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install EcoHitch's Class III 2-inch trailer hitch receiver. And this is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. It's gonna be hidden completely behind the bumper, so all your accessories will have to feed through the opening here at the back. This cover is removable or replaceable. We've got it just kind of sitting inside the car but you can't pop that back in to completely hide it if you want. more

Now, I know everybody wants to see what it's going to look like, go over some of the features, but if you stick around to the end of the video, we are going to show you how to get it installed so you can have the confidence to do it at home. But here's where our hitch is going to look like once we do have it installed. The cross tube is going to be visible, it's going to sit down right below the bumper. But what I do like about it is, it is tucked up really nice and tight against the bottom of the body here. And our Crosstrek sits kind of low, so you're not going to see it too much unless you're really looking for it.Another thing to note is that our receiver tube is almost flush with the outer edge of the bumper. more

Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitches available for the 2016 Subaru Crosstrek. We're going to start with our Draw-Tite class 3. This is part number 76084. It's going to offer the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. We're going to follow that up with the CURT, also a class 3, with the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. Best 2016 Subaru Crosstrek Hitch Options- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2016 Subaru Crosstrek. Our hitch on the top is going to be the CURT class three receiver hitch, part number C13135. The second one down is going to be the CURT class one trailer hitch, part number C11286, followed by the Draw-Tite class one sport frame receiver hitch, part number 24886. Now you can see our biggest difference is going to be that this one is a class three with a 2" receiver, while these are both class one with 1-1/4". Now the 2" receiver is going to be give you a lot more options for cargo carriers, bike racks, and ball mounts. Another difference you're going to notice is on the CURT class one it's got a flat-style safety chain loop, where the class three has the ring-style with a larger diameter, as well as the Draw-Tite that's got the ring-style for larger chain hooks. Now with the ring-style it's going to give you a little bit more room to put a larger hook into and make it a little easier, where sometimes with these flat-style ones it's not going to be able to grip around the outside here because we have a lot larger diameter. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Subaru Crosstrek - Curt- Video
Today on our 2016 Subaru Crosstrek we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, Class 3. Part number C13135. Here's what it looks like once it's installed. As you can see it's going to fit nicely underneath our bumper. It's going to protrude down a little bit with our square tube design. It's going to have these nice round ring-style chain loops that'll allow for a large safety hook. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Subaru Crosstrek - Curt C11286- Video
Today on our 2016 Subaru Crosstrek, we're going to be taking a look at installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver-Class One. Part Number C11286. Now here's what it looks like once it's installed. As you can see it's going to hug the bottom of our bumper, very nicely tucked up underneath. Kind of a nice black powder-coated finish. It's an inch and a quarter class one design, has a single hitch pin hole for a half inch hitch pin. more
