We're gonna be looking at three different hitches available for the Rogue. The etrailer.com, the CURT and the Draw-Tite. And don't get me wrong. They're all fairly similar to the next one, but if you we're to ask me what one I would pick for my own Rogue, it'd be either the etrailer or the CURT. more

Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2017 Nissan Rogue. Up top here we're going to have our etrailer brand hitch. Then right below that we're going to have our CURT hitch. Then finally down here at the bottom we're going to have our Draw-Tite hitch. Now all three of them are going to be Class 3 hitches, which means they're going to give us that 2" by 2" receiver tube opening and give us a wide variety of options for accessories to mount up. But if I was looking for a hitch for my Rogue, I would definitely go with the etrailer hitch for a few different reasons. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Nissan Rogue, we're gonna be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the etrailer Class III custom fit trailer hitch receiver, part number E98846. Here's what our hitch is gonna look like. The cross tube is gonna pretty well hidden behind the bumper, so all we're gonna see is that receiver tube sticking out.Our hitch is gonna have that nice carbine, flat black finish to it, so it is gonna blend in nicely on the bottom of the bumper. It is a Class III hitch, which means it's gonna give us that 2 in x 2 in receiver hitch opening, opening up a lot of doors for a lot of different accessories.The way we're gonna mount any of our accessories is through the hitch pin hole here on the side. It is gonna accept a standard 5/8 pin and clip. While these aren't included, you can pick them up here at etailer.com.As far as our safe-chain connection points go, it's gonna be loop style welded to the bottom of the receiver tube. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Nissan Rogue - Curt

Today on our 2017 Nissan Rogue, we'll be having a look at and installing the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C13204. The only part visible of our hitch is the actual Class III 2" receiver itself and our safety chain loops that are welded onto the bottom of it. The rest of it is hidden behind our fascia. Now, our safety chain loops are a tubular steel design. It's welded to the bottom of the receiver. We have a fairly large opening, so we shouldn't have much problem, if any at all, hooking the hooks of our safety chains from our trailer onto them. On the side of our receiver, you'll find our industry standard 5/8" diameter hitch pinhole to secure any of our hitch-mounted accessories. At the end of our receiver we have this nice collar that's welded on to help reinforce the hitch and give it a nice finished look underneath our vehicle. This hitch features a 525-pound max gross tongue weight rating, which is the amount forcing down, and a 3,500-pound max gross trailer weight rating, which is the amount you can pull. more

Today, on our 2017 Nissan Rogue, we'll be having a look at and installing the Curt class II 1-1/4" trailer hitch receiver, part number C12122. Our hitch is completely hidden behind our fascia. The only part you see hanging down is the class II 1-1/4" receiver itself. Our safety chain loops are rolled tubular steel design, so we shouldn't have much problem with any at all using most safety chain loops on them. On the side of our receiver, we'll find our industry standard 1/2" diameter hitch pin hole. We have this nice welded-on collar here to add a little bit more strength to the end of our receiver and to give it a nice finished look on our vehicle. This hitch features a 350-pound max tongue weight rating, which is the amount forcing down, and a 3500-pound max gross trailer weight rating, which is the amount it can pull. You'll want to consult with the owner's manual of your Nissan Rogue and not exceed the limits of the vehicle or the hitch itself. more

Today on our 2017 Nissan Rogue, we'll be having a look at and installing the Draw-Tite class two trailer hitch receiver, part number 36542. Our hitch is completely hidden up behind the fascia, the only part that's visible is the class two 1.25" receiver itself with our safety chain loops on the bottom. The hitch is also tucked up behind the fascia far enough that it doesn't stick out past it so when we're loading cargo into our hatch area we don't have to worry about running our shin or knee into the receiver. Our safety chain loops here are a round, tubular steel design. We got a fairly large size opening here so we shouldn't have any problems hooking on any of our safety chain hooks onto them from our trailers. On the side, we'll have our industry standard half inch diameter hitch pin hole to secure any of our hitch mounted accessories that we may have. This hitch features a 300 pound max tongue weight rating, which is the amount forcing down, and a 3500 pound max gross trailer weight rating, which is the amount it can pull. You want to consult with the owners manual of your Rogue and not exceed the capabilities of the vehicle or the hitch itself. Now for a few measurements to better assist you in choosing any hitch mounted accessory you may need, such as a ball mount, bike rack or cargo carrier. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Nissan Rogue - Draw-Tite 75902

Today on our 2017 Nissan Rogue, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Draw-Tite Custom-Fit Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 75902. This is what our hitch looks like fully installed, and as you can see, it's not going to add a whole lot to the appearance of the vehicle. The crosstube is actually tucked up underneath the bumper, and all you're really going to see is the receiver tube. This has a 2" x 2" receiver tube and has a nice reinforced rolled collar for a nice look. It's going to use a standard 5/8 pin and clip, which is not included, but you can pick one up on our website using part number PC3. Now, the second smaller hole in the front is for the J-pin stabilization device, which you can also pick up on our website, and that's for any accessories that don't have their own anti-rattle device built in. The safety loops are nice. There's plenty of room to attach any hooks and they're made out of a rolled stock steel, and as you can see, you're not going to have to worry about any interference getting your hooks on or off. more
