Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Installation - 2020 Jeep Wrangler- Video
Hi there Jeep owners. Today on your 2020 Jeep Wrangler, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Draw Tite's class three, two inch trailer hitch receiver. And this is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. Here you can see our receiver does stick out the bottom here but the rest of it is installed on the cross tube for the bumper there so you really don't have any of the rest of that showing, just our receiver. It does stick out just a little bit past our rear bumper but not as far as the spare tire. This is a class three, two inch by two inch receiver, so it's gonna be great for all of your towing needs. more

Today we're enabling our Jeep to do a little bit more. This is a 2021 Jeep Wrangler and we are gonna show you how to install the two inch etrailer hitch receiver. With this two inch hitch receiver, we can do a lot of stuff with it. You can put a bike rack in here, you can do a cargo carrier or even just like a load extender for some kayaks if you're hauling like that. With this, just having something in the back of our hitch is just gonna free up a lot of room inside of our Wrangler. There's not a whole lot of room in there. more

But before we do that why don't we check it out and make sure this is the one that's going to work best for you So people use these Jeeps to do a lot of different things and there's several different hitches that are kind of purpose-built. And when it comes to choosing one, I feel like you have to ask yourself, do I care about what it looks like Am I shooting for the best appearance And what am I actually gonna use it for So at this one here, in my opinion, I think it looks the best. And that's because it sits flush with our bumper. Really isn't all that noticeable, especially with the matte black finish, it just kind of blends in and matches the bumper. more

We're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt trailer hitch receiver here for our 2020 Jeep Wrangler.So this is what our trailer hitch is going to look like installed on our vehicle. As you can see here, it has sort of a hidden design meaning we're not going to see any sort of bulky cross tube hanging below the rear bumper. So if we take a closer look at the actual trailer hitch receiver portion, you'll see it's relatively flush with our rear bumper here. So we're not going to have to worry about banging our shins on it or walking by and getting stuff in and out of the hatch of our vehicle. It also has a nice, shiny black powder coated finish, which is going to help protect it from rust and corrosion.So with this trailer hitch on our Wrangler, it's going to allow us to do a multitude of different things. more

Ryan here at etrailer.comToday, we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the etrailer.com, class three trailer hitch receiver on a 2011 Jeep Wrangler.Now, one thing I really like about this hitch, is that it's going to stick a good ways past a rear bumper, and that's going to help with clearance. So any folding accessories that we might be using, you shouldn't have any issues when folding them up in the upright position.Now what kind of sets the etrailer hitches apart from many of the others is its matte black carbide finish. This finish is going to be very durable, and hold up really well against the elements, and it's also going to be much more scratch resistant.Now this is a class three hitch, so it's going to utilize that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. It's also going to have a reinforced collar for extra strength. Now the pinhole is going to be the standard 5/8 size. more

This is what our hitch is gonna look like installed. One thing I really like about it is that it sticks out past the bumper quite a bit. That's gonna help with any clearance issues from our spare tire so that way if you have any folding accessories you shouldn't have any issues putting them in the upright stored position.Another thing I really like is how our safety chain openings are designed. They're gonna be flat and that way they're not gonna hang down and we won't lose ground clearance. more

If that's a concern, either the Etrailer part number E98835 or the CURT part number 13432, they're going to be best. Basically, the receiver tube opening here on each of the hitches is going to be even with your bumper. more

Best 2007 Jeep Wrangler Trailer Hitch Options- Video
Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitches available for the 2007 to 2017 Jeep Wrangler. Now, we've tested all of these hitches on numerous different Jeeps that we have here around the shop, and basically each one of them is going to have strengths and weaknesses, depending on what you're going to do with your Jeep.Now later in the video, we're going to get into some specifics on each of the hitches, the measurements and things like that. But if you're just interested in knowing which is going to be better for what, we can handle that now and save you some time.Basically, if you're into off-roading, departure angle is usually an issue. That's how steep of an angle on the back of your jeep you can come off and slide down a hill. If that's a concern, either the e-trailer part number E98835 or the Curt part number 13432, they're going to be the best. Basically, the receiver tube opening here on each of the hitches is going to be even with your bumper. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Jeep Wrangler - Curt- Video
Today on our 2017 Jeep Wrangler, we'll be having a look at and installing the Curt class 3 trailer hitch receiver, part number 13432. What I really like about this hitch compared to others on the market, is how flush it sits with the vehicle. It gives us the optimum amount of ground clearance that we need in case we want to take our Jeep off road. It sits nicely inside the relief cut out that's already in the fascia. Now this hitch is a fairly simple installation. No modification to vehicle at all, goes into existing hardware locations. The safety chain loop's here are on a plate welded to the bottom of the receiver and to the back side of the hitch. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Jeep Wrangler - Curt- Video
Today on our 2016 Jeep Wrangler, we're going to take a look at, and show you how to install, the Curt Custom Fit Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver, offering the 2" by 2" opening. Part number is 9883544. Here you can see what the hitch looks like installed. You see our receiver tube opening here is going to be about flush with the end of the bumper. It's got a 2" by 2" receiver tube opening of course, and then here you can see our rounded-style safety chain connection points, they're on a plate there, so it should give us great security, nice heavy duty. I think just about any safety chain you'd have should connect there, and .. See, our receiver tube opening here, that's 5/8" in diameter and I think that most Class III accessories should work, as long as they have a little bit smaller diameter. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Jeep Wrangler - Draw-Tite- Video
Today on our 2016 Jeep Wrangler we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the draw tight max frame custom fit class III trailer hitch receiver offering the 2 inch X 2 inch opening. This part number is 75515. Here's what our hitch is going to look like installed on our Jeep. As you can see it uses the factor recess here nicely and kind of tucks the hitch up a little bit. We're not adding a whole lot cosmetically to the rear. We're just going to have this small area here that comes down and then our receiver tube opening that comes out. As you can see this one has more of a rounded style reinforcement collar on the end here set up with a dual pinhole set up. more

From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer most edge of the rear mounted spare tire is 6 1/4 inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 17 1/2 inches. Now to begin our install, we'll first go ahead and note that the vehicle's tow hooks and rear bolt that goes into the weld nut of the frame have already been removed because an after market bumper has been installed. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 1995 Jeep Wrangler - Curt- Video
Today on our 1995 Jeep Wrangler we're going to be installing the CURT custom fit trailer hitch receiver in the class three 2" version. Part number is 13657. This is what our hitch is going to look like after we've got it installed on our Wrangler. A few measurements to keep in mind: From the center of the hitch pinhole towards the front of the car towards the steel bumper we're looking at about 3-1/2". From the center of the hitch pinhole out to the edge of our tire, which is a P215/75R15, we're looking at about 6-1/2". From the ground to the inner edge of the top tube of our receiver hitch opening we're looking at about 15". more

Now we'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch, such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack, or a cargo carrier. Now keep in mind, on our particular vehicle today we have oversized off-road tires. The tires are actually a 315/70R17 tire so it's going to sit much higher than a factory vehicle. With this size tire we'll go ahead and give you some measurements. more

Today on our 2009 Jeep Wrangler, we'll be installing Hidden Hitch 1 1/4 inch receiver tube hitch, part number 90157. Here's what our hitch looks like once it's installed. Next I'll give you a couple measurements to assist you with selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of this vehicle's spare tire is 7 1/2 inches. If you measure from the center of the hitch pin pole back to the bumper is 2 inches, to give you a point of reference. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 19 inches with this vehicle's wheel and tire application. With those measurements, it will assist you with selecting accessories such as a ball mount, bike rack or cargo carrier. We'll now go ahead with installation. more
